Were Wolves really that good, or were Leeds

Thought cavaleiro was ok but jota and Bonatini were poor, again, DB didnt impress me either. For me Afobe has to start Saturday.

we are really really bad lads.

you were clearly decent, swtiching it well etc, always had a hold on CM.

but lets not beat around the bush, we have the lowest points in the league in 2018, have won one in 9 or something and have a team devoid of confidence and bottle.

we all said you would batter us yesterday.

good luck in the prem.

Cheers for that LeedsRich, Leeds started the season like world beaters, it's hard to imagine they are the same team.

I agree Leeds are bad, which made us look better than we were, not that we are bad, just lacking our cutting edge.

jota should and on another day would have had 2.

bonatini is out of form and confidence and you can tell, but he still works and helps link the play.

we did (have a good start), but it was fairly false, unknowingly to us all the teams we beat were/are all down the bottom of the league now.

beginning of the season beating sunderland away 2-0 and forest away 2-0 seemed like a good results, but its transpired to just be the norm.

anyway i doubt we will see you the year after next either way haha!

You never know LeedsRich, we might meet in the cups, <wink>

Yeah think we did well but certainly assisted by a pretty dire Leeds, especially first half where we waltzed through them with little effort.

Disagree with you Amiga. I thought we were excellent last night and made a mid table championship team look like a League Two team. We could easily have won the game by a lot more goals but that’s not really important. It’s very easy to say when Wolves play poorly it’s because Wolves are poor and when Wolves play well it’s because the opposition were poor. We won convincingly last night because we are the best team in the division and last night to me, we looked every inch the best

Guys
all I can say is wow! You are a class above anything in this league and play good attractive football. We are bad at the moment and the scoteline flattered us, but it was still an awesome performance and it exposed even more our weaknesses. Hopefully our deluded hierarchy can now see how far adrift we are of clubs like Wolves.

Good luck in the Prem. You wll be a top 10 team quite easily. Maybe see you there at some point in the future if our owner has learnt anything on how to go up.

Spangles I'm not saying we were bad, Just that we are not at our best, I thought Leeds were poor and have been for a while, a lot worse than their position suggests.

We will give anyone a game, but there were no real standouts last night, Boly and Ndaye played ok, but there were no 9's or 10's in the game.

I think it was a mixture of both. Leeds were bad and we were quite good. We will play and have played better than that this season, but we came up against a team in disarray at the moment.

That's what I'm getting at Tam, Yes we were deserved winners, but we may not have turned the corner many may think we have.

We will give anyone a game, But maybe Leeds is not a great benchmark, if we do the same to Villa then I'll be impressed.

Agree Amiga, here’s my comment from the unbelievably cool match thread last night which kind of goes with exactly what your saying

Halfy delivers the points yet again, what a legend

Thought it was a good performance without being exceptional, biggest worry for me was the Jota seem to to be drifting out of the starting 11 ?!? But with Neves to come back in maybe that will be the catalyst to get him firing again. Not Afobe’s biggest fan but a great Finish from him tonight

All good in Halfy’s lair tonight

Radrizzani clarified his comments in a further tweet tonight, saying: “Firstly I would like to be clear that I have great respect for Nuno Santos and his team who have performed extremely well throughout the course of this season.

“I used last night (sic) fixture to raise long standing concerns that I have regarding agencies having direct influence within clubs which I believe could breach EFL rules.

“The aim is to open a transparent debate regarding the rules and motivate the institutions to be vigilant with anything that can spoil the fairness of the competition which I am encouraged to see the EFL taking seriously as per their statement earlier today.

“I believe it is vital for clubs in the Championship and beyond to operate on a level playing field."

Personally, I think it is impossible for us to be at our very best without Neves.

No he didn't clarify his comments. What he did was back peddle when someone whispered in his ear that Fosun were liable to sue his ass off.
These feckers shouting the odds should also be wary of Jorge Mendez who also has the clout and the finances to take legal action against people who are dragging his name and business through the mud.

Anybody got a link or the transcript to the EFL statement ?

Agreed Tamwolf, but even without him a more clinical Wolves side would have demolished that Leeds side, we did well, but our early form would have done better.

It was not lack of chances it was lack of edge, Jota, Cav and Bonatini all failed to play to their potential, not knocking the effort and even below par can still be a handful, but nobody here can claim yesterday they showed their best form.

Just as we can be NOT at our best with Neves it is quite possible to be at our best without him.

IMHO
