And then, topically, View takes us into the realms of philosophy with Hawkingesque dexterity

I completely agree: Viewy IS as dexterous as Prof. Hawking.

Does the death of Hawking mean RFB is now officially the world’s cleverest person?

We’ve won more than twice as many as we’ve lost under Rowett (20 vs 9) which is very decent, but we’ve drawn almost as many (17). If only we had someone to work out how many more points we would have if, say, 10 of those draws had been converted into wins. My guess is that it would be quite a few.

Give or take a few

Not seen much of Wellies recently: wonder if he's finally succumbed to terminal verbosity.

Part of the problem is that it’s not an even playing field in terms of finances.

Everyone would love to play attractive attacking football, but with Villa, Wolves, Fulham and Middlesbrough spending power they will always attract better talent, and so are more consistent etc.

You have to give kudos to Cardiff, Derby, Sheffield Utd, Bristol City for at least competing as long as they have. But each team depends on team spirit, being solid and hard to beat, and being clinical when the chance arrives.

It takes a couple of injuries or loss of form and that clinical edge diminishes and suddenly wins turn to draws.

If you miss out on playoffs Rowett may well get the sack, it’s happend before, but it would be harsh given the context we are all in at the moment

Some fans on here are asking why the atmosphere isn’t getting any better at pride Park, i’ll give you my opinion the football is too boring and negative, that’s why 99.9% of the season we’ve played 4-2-3-1 thank god we’ve had Vydra’s goals because if he didn’t score we would have had more draws, look at some of the opposition we’ve played over the last 6 weeks.....dirty Leeds were very poor we couldn’t beat them we play a very poor side in Sheffield Wednesday where he made six changes and his excuse for losing we had more possession We play Reading away that was a complete disaster and they were and still in poor form, and then we play a really poor Reddogs and we couldn’t even break that lot down, now we play Cardiff tomorrow (if we lose what’s going to be Rowett’s excuse if we get beat? They are in a rich frame of form This is my opinion if Derby County don’t go up this season I can see the red dogs being above us come the end of 2019, and I’ll tell you why because Rowett is crap in the transfer window

Oh and I’ll not mention us trying to hold a one nil lead against a very poor Queens Park Rangers, and don’t get me started on Tom Lawrence

Atmosphere? I get annoyed at ‘fans’ leaving at half time.

Surely that’s a factor in ‘atmosphere’ waning? Plus to me, if you’re Derby, you’ve made a covenant and you stay to the end ๐Ÿ‘

Did the traffic.

What? You leave at half time?

(So, you think I’m deluded? What have I said?)

Didn’t know that. Why?

Yeah, probably improves it !

Deluded! I assumed we are all deluded. For goodness sake we support Derby. 'Tis a a basic requirement

I think the assumption would be that if fans leave early then they have contributed to the atmosphere dying off, which naturally it would: the fewer in the ground, the quieter it will be.

It doesn't account for the toxic atmosphere though: that's caused by people still inside the stadium.

Anything a manager says after a defeat tends to sound like an excuse. What Rowett ACTUALLY said after the Sheffield Wednesday defeat was not that we lost because we had too much possession but that we did not defend well enough. He hasn't been shy of criticising the performance whether we have won or lost and it’s daft to say that he is making “excuses” - he is obliged to do post-match interviews after all. If we lose tomorrow what will the reasons be (or “excuses” )? That Cardiff are playing better than us, in a fantastic run of form and full of confidence? That we are lacking confidence and have a lot of injuries? These are simply facts. I agree with criticism of some of the work done in the transfer windows and the dour nature of some of the football but that doesn’t mean that everything in the garden is crappy. Do you actually want Rowett to be sacked, Wassa? You make a lot of negative comments but you never actually say what you think should happen.

The toxic atmosphere inside Pride Park is down to the Russians.
Several years ago The Kremlin identified DCFC among a group of elite European clubs that would challenge the future dominance of Russian clubs in Europe following the fake World Cup victory of the home side this summer.
For several years now home fans at Pride Park have been subject to a audiatry depressant triggered by the singing of “Steve Bloomers Watching”
Russian boffins had been experimenting for years on the effects of vibrations on the human psyche and saw the opportunity to turn Robert Lindsay when he visited Moscow.
Lindsay was brainwashed into penning the ditty to the precise wavelength determined to cause the malaise currently abundant at PP.

Also Wassa, not to mention Fulham failing to hold onto a two-nil lead against a very poor QPR team today, and Villa being thrashed at home by the same very poor team last week.
