Galv, some detractors have said that Spurs's one looks like a toilet seat that is down, but I don't see that myself.

The fact is, that detractors are always gna detract from something that someone else does. It's the tribal nature of football, like when Wenger says that "Everyone thinks that they have the prettiest wife".

You're happy with yours and we're happy with ours.

Happy days all round

You’ll be at Wembley for 4 years? Be interesting to see how you do over those years.

They wanted 20 mill originally.

They have settled for 1 mill apparently.

It's amazing what being outmanoeuvred for being too greedy can do for someone's expectation levels.

£1 million or polonium?

I know what I’d settle for

hf, excuse me old chap, Polonium is so last year. Current movers and shakers are saying that Novichok is the must have accessory.

The ground is designed to take into account many things Chelsea related.

The shape reflects the original ground with its large west Stand bank built on the excavations of the old tube lines.

It is aligned with west brompton cemetery and the toofd circle reflects the centre of the cemetery..

The brickwork and architecture is influenced by Westminster abbey whose diocese or parish we are part of.

It may not look all that in the models but if we get it right it should be awesome

Personally I'm not keen on the design, but I suspect it's more limited what you can do with a conversion compared to building from scratch. No doubt it will be the nuts on the inside when it's complete, all these modern stadiums are. 4 years at Wembley is a big ask, one year has felt like purgatory but again, if you want to keep up with the pack you've got to suffer a bit of short term pain for long term gain. Took us years to get to where we are now with ours, from negotiating with the council to Levy having to torch Archway Steel. The end result will be worth it and I'm sure it will be for Chelsea too. Think for Chelsea it's really important to have some stability on the pitch during this transition, rather than the recent boom & bust cycle. Thankfully we found the right bloke in Poch in the nick of time to shepherd us through.

We are building from scratch, the current ground will be completely demolished, the pitch will be lowered intact most of our 1st tier will be below current pitch level. The ground may not look all that large from the outside but inside will be a different story.

A fair bit of the Nou Camp is below ground

Would still have loved Battersea as a stadium

The pitch level is going down 8 metres, but when I asked them the question about the risk of blocking out too much sunlight and the necessary wind circulation, which may affect the quality of the pitch as we all know, they assured me that they are not concerned with that because of the quality of the modern grasses and the artificial sunlighting equipment that is available (and we already have).

It is going to be like the Nou Camp in that when you approach it from the outside it is deceptive and doesn't seem all that high but from the inside it is like a steep bowl excavated from the ground (if that makes any sense).

It is a different situation to what Spurs had in that they were able to CP various surrounding businesses and then be in a position to firstly just level the site and then built a completely new Stadium from the ground level upwards whereas our site is sort of triangular in shape and so it's more tricky to get in build the stadium without encroaching on the surrounding areas, which obviously we can't CP because you have 2 railway lines and a Cemetry to deal with.

This is why we will need 4 years instead of the one that Spurs look like completing their project in. Credit where it is due Levy looks to have organised the huge amount of work to keep disruption to an absolute minimum brilliantly. The execution has been extremely efficient.

We just need to frame sissoko for the archway steel fire now

As you’ve said the railway lines and cemetery have made things harder for you lot.

Will the Bates motel still be in use or demolished?
