After slip ups at Fulham and Villa it would be good to show we can still beat the good teams by getting results at Boro and Cardiff. If we did that then promotion would likely be secured before the Blues game

I remember the easter fixtures being pivotal in the last promotion season, listening the to the easter monday game against Derby on the radio in horrible traffic driving back from a weekend in Wales.

Being as its Friday and the boss is away, thought I would look back over the old league tables and try and assess our current position in a historical context.

Since Reading's ridiculous 2006 season, only Leicester in 2014 with 85 had more than 82 points after 38 games.

Of those top of the table after 38 only Bristol City in 2008 failed to get automatic promotion.

No team has failed to get automatic promotion after achieving at least 82 from 38.

In conclusion, although its far from impossible, I would say that we are pretty much beyond the point where even Wolves could balls this up.
