miserly £2,094,000

That's what Alex Sanchez gets from United a month in wages!

Behave.

That’s per minute.

Now for something completely different: In 1961 we paid AC Milan £99,999 for one James Peter Greaves. Bill Nicholson did not want him to have to wear the tag of the first £100,000 footballer.

So what would £99,999 be worth today?????

A miserly £2,094,000
========
In terms of football inflation rates it would be £199,999,999

Out of those 10 only Son to date has looked like the one worth the money. Some have potential/big expectations but at least 5 on that list are dross.

So which 5 do you think are dross? Would any of them get into the Wolves team?

Bentley, Bent, Soldado, Sissoko.

Janssen would be the new RVP by now if Poch wasnt a cant to him

You obviously have not seen Sancez play then?

Apart from a couple of games he has settled into the Spurs team really well and shows signs of being top class in years to come.

Moura will be a great asset and has quality ball control and pace.

Not convinced by Sanchez yet myself, but it's easy to forget he's only 21 and must be easily the quickest CB in the league

Thats all great mate but all those players have helped us win precisely...... Nothing

You could argue the most important members of our current squad cost less than 15mln.....Kane, Dele, Eriksen, Dier, Wanyama, Toby, Jan, Hugo, Davies, Rose, Trips, Demebele

Basically Spurs are as guilty as everyone else for pi55ing money up a wall except we have nothing to show for it

Sanchez is the best young CB on the planet in my opinion.

Don't think i have seen him have a bad game and his recovery speed is incredible.

Don't think that is hard to figure out, Edbo.

5 - Bentley, Bent, Janssen, Soldado, Sissok0
1 - Son
1 - Lamela
3 - Moura, Davinson, Aurier.

who would be your goal keeper in this team?

Not saying Sanchez won't be a world beater but at the moment he's still in the "potential" bracket, same with Aurier and Moura.

Those figures are woefully incorrect. First of all a lot of those figures include caveats that the full figure won't be paid up unless certain thresholds have been met (games, goals international caps etc). Looking at that list very few on there would have been successful enough for that to be true. Secondly, some of the figures are wrong anyway...

Bentley 15m
Janssen 18m
Bent 16.5m
Aurier 22m
Moura 23m
Son 22m
Soldado 26m
Sanchez 42m

That's a 37m gap between the real figures and yours. We could buy another dud for that money.

Son and Sanchez are both really excellent

Lamela has proved his worth and I think will get better.

Moura - we've paid a lot for him but at the moment he's only a sub. Let's hope for big things next year otherwsie why did we spend so much on someone who doesn't get in the first team?

Sissoko is I think better and more useful than he gets credit for.

Aurier... hmmm. Not totally convinced, yet, but he's ok. There's a great player in there somewhere I'm sure.

Bentley never quite cut it, same for Soldado, Janssen I think came here a season too early. Bent didn't really do it either.

I'd say when it comes to the big fees, we waste some, but also buy some quality. Then again so does every club

We've had some absolute bargains too, that seems to be where our success is.

Agree with most NSMJ. Moura was a bit of a bargain in the current market though and Sanchez really hasnt been that great

For those of you disputing the figures, these were taken from the article I read.

It was just an indication of who our most expensive players purchased were.

We all know transfer figures are dependent on variables such as games played etc
