Don’t you think you had VDS at his prime? I’d say his best form was at united.
Frank Stapleton
Jonny Giles
Paul Parker
Gordon McQueen
Joe Jordan
A bit left-field but Mark Bosnich?
I think the transition between Schmeichel and VDS would have been smoother if we'd had the excellent, acrobatic shot-stopper (who needed to work on commanding his area more) we saw at Villa and not the over-weight, un-fit Bosnich we did have.
Might not be a popular one but I think you did get Larsson near his prime, he was an extremely fit individual and as a player he got better and better every year which was unreal to watch (especially as a Rangers fan)

Larsson's style and intelligence meant he aged well and was still a top player until the end of his career, but 2001-2004/5 was his prime. There weren't many better at that point.

behave wahl.
Larson a great shout, absolutely brilliant player, and with an intelligence that’s really not matched very often at all. In prime falcoa was an incredible striker-like when athletico trounced chelsea.
Tbf, you had Paul McGrath in his prime. By the time he left United he was an alcoholic with chronic knee problems.
Amazing that he performed so well for Villa.
i thought you got a lot out of vds.
