I don't think they are finished but I don't think they'll bounce back like the last few times.

Both Manchester clubs were in a flux. Both have improved since then. Liverpool and Tottenham have looked stronger as well, so it won't be as easy as last season or the season they won it before.

Look at Tottenham. Pundits thought they'd challenge for the title this season but they have just put up a challenge for top 4 and got in recently thanks to the downturn at Chelsea.

Next season the top three will be City, United a decent Chelsea. With Chelsea third. Just my opinion.

Fair enough Bobby, it just didn't sound good when you said
"with the Arab". Its sort of like saying with the Jew.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I said that as I didn't know exactly what nationality he was, or even how you refer to them, with abramovich I'd just say the Russian but with a bloke from the UAE or whatever I wouldn't even know the term
----------------------------------------------------------------------
UAE - Unites ARAB Emirates - The clue is in the name mate Where do we get the braindead idiots from ?

Most though that, with Spurs playing at Wembley, Spurs would be lucky to finish 6th.

I was one that thought top four for Spurs was nailed on because they have such a great side, but I was definitely in the minority.

Don't see Unitd anywhere near title challengers, team not good enough. Despite spending millions, a long, long way from winning the league.

Closer than you are

Some would say Wembley did hinder you at first. We finished 6th last season yet we're ahead of you despite not being a cohesive unit like you are.

And we may be far off a title win, but we closer to one than you. And we can keep a hold of our better players better than you.

I think we really did throw away top 4 long before yesterdays game... Losing to Bouremouth, Watford, Palace, Burnley and West Ham has cost us our place and quote frankly we dont deserve CL football.

I wish the "fans" on twitter would stop saying we dont deserve Hazard.. The guy has been garbage recently and is just as much to blame in our 2018 results as anybody.

Chelsea badly need a new stadium too or Spurs and Arsenal will leave them trailing in gate takings.

Gate takings don't account for a lot these days

100yrs as one of London’s smaller clubs. Sold for £1 in 1982. 15yrs of success built on 1.2billion debt repayable at 18mths notice. League title CFC won most regularly before the Russian’s billions was Div 2. A club that’s forgotten its past with a precarious future.

but it is a scary and quite feasible possibility that they might fall out of the top 4 for some years to come.

You know we have a game in hand on Liverpool, right?

The gap between us and you is just 4pts....and you are playing City away next week while we have Stoke..it is likely there will be a point or two in it.

We are the PL's only unbeaten team in 2018, and have taken 33 points from our last 13 (W10 D3 L0). We are bang in form

It would not surprise me at all if United ended up 4th

posted on 2/4/18

Neither would it surprise me. We have been rubbish and still where we are. You have been your best but still haven't been able to get better. When a poor United side are doing better than you at your best, I'd be worried that that's the best you'd be.

This

Spurs fans massively underrate us. We’re far from perfect but we’ve been winning games pretty regularly and there are signs that Sanchez is clicking and Lukaku is bang in form.

It’s fairly likely we’ll win at least 5 of our last 7 games and that should be more than enough as I can’t see Spurs beating City

We play City at ours (where we have a good record) directly after they play Liverpool away, win the title against United, then play Liverpool again.

Pretty much a perfect time really

We have not been at our best this season though. We had a few months adjusting to being at Wembley, and at one point in December were about 12pts adrift of you.

Our form in the last 13 games is peerless.

I would say this is United running at full capacity this season. They have been pretty ruthless as their XG shows. An anomaly

HRH by end of March last season we were miles better then Chelsea but were miles behind them in the league despite our shot count being like 100 shots better lol.

You have been better than us since SAF retired and we were a shambles. But since the last three seasons, you have not improved. You have stood still while we have. It's why, whether we finish 4th or 2nd, we're more likely to win a title before you. The other thing is, sadly, is that we can and do pay more and are hence more likely to attract players and keep our better ones. Walker has left. Rose looks like he's on the way out and so is Toby. In a season or two of more of the same you will lose other top players, unless you decide to pay them what they are worth and start winning things. Your club, if they don't change will not move up. We were in a shambles and despite that we have caught up and are looking to likely to surpass teams that are supposedly better. And we have been poor more often than not yet somehow find ourselves second.
