Hi Flash.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think we'll lose Hazard and although i'd rather keep him, if we have the right coach it may be for the best in the long run.
Again i say i'd rather keep him, but i think we've got rather over reliant on him and therefore providing we don't sell him to City...........
I actually agree on Hazard plus he should fetch quite a sum.
What about Courtois?
Same old same old.
New manager. Statement of intent. Some investment and smart sales. A good PL season without CL football but miles off a superb City team.
Lose Hazard.
Lose Coutois.
Repeat.
Knowing us we'll probably win the league and repeat this season in 2 years time..
We need a massive change in the way the club is run, We've said it a million times but the manager needs to get the players in he wants, No use signing Drinkwater, Barkley when lets be honest they dont have a place on the team.
I know Chelsea have come back strong and will be top 4 next season IMO but winning the league, especially without a Harzard and/or Courtois and new players to bed in, I can't see it.
Use younger players, get some players to actually improve the XI.
There are a number of things I'd like to see:
1. A manager (be it Conte or someone else) who wants to be hear and is allowed to bring in the players HE wants.
2. A huge clear out of the present squad. Fabregas, Moses, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta and Barkley shouldn't be at the club next season. Morata I'm 50/50 over!
3. Do everything possible to keep Kante.
4. Greater use of the better academy prospects, in particular Hudson Odi, Abraham, Sterling and James.
5. The people responsible for wasting millions on average players to be made accountable.
The bigger problem is who to bring in. I feel it's a massive job that won't take just a season due to the poor standard of player we've been bringing in for a while now.

I have to disagree in the part that it will take more than a season.. I think if we get the right signings this summer we will back amongst the top 4/title challenging.
We are 2/3 players off max..
We need to stop spunking money up the wall on the likes of Drinkwater, Barkley and Zappacosta when we have players on loan and in the academy who can have squad roles.
Theres no way in hell Drinkwater offers more than Chalobah.
Is Rüdiger an upgrade on Ake? Id say yes but theres not a great difference in quality.
Bakayoko had a good reputation when he came in but I must admit I only watched Monaco in the CL and the standouts for me were Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Fabinho; The club were right to shift Matic on but got the replacement wrong in hindsight.
Morata couldnt lace Costas boots.. Morata should've been brought in alongside Costa, Not to replace him.
I dont see how we can move forward with the likes of Cahill, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Pedro and Giroud in the squad.
Whoever comes in I want Luiz back in the team, Hes got personality and isn't afraid to throw a tackle in, Not to mention hes a quality player.
Chavy, sorry mate but I don't understand how you can say it won't take more than a year and in another post say you don't see how we can move forward with the likes of I dont see how we can move forward with the likes of Cahill, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Pedro and Giroud in the squad.
Given the players we've both mentioned, we have to some how get them off the books and replace them - that will take more than a season!

Sell Hazard and Courtois to Madrid. Buy Isco and Asencio and Martial with the money.
Sell Moses, Bakayoko and buy a Labrador and a pug.
Tbh, Hazard needs to go. He can be a great player, but the team looks to him to make things happen. We need a better team, not just players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is an absolutely ridiculous idea!!
Pugs are far too ugly to wear the famous Blue jersey!

These players mentioned aren't of great quality no and if we persist with signing this level of player then no I dont see how we can move upwards however we showed in the summer of 2016 with the signings of Luiz and Kanté and a change of formation that we have what it takes to challenge.. We are 2-3 players short of getting back to a level that we can challenge IMO.
Say we shipped out Giroud, Bakayoko, Drinkwater and replaced them with an Icardi, Fabinho and brought back Mount/Ruben then I dont think we'd be too far away.
we bought Bakayoko Barclay And Drinkwater, even though we have a much better midfielder on loan called Marco van Ginkel. Ginkel can pass score tackle head, get him back close season and get him in attacking m/f asap.

We need to get rid of Fabregas and Moses as well Chavy!
i dont think Reuben is gonna make it unfortunately, but we have a couple of good midfielders out on loan that can certainly help out. Marco van ginkel and Mario Pasalic are both pretty good in their positions, and if cesc has to go id look to Pasalic as he has a pretty decent passing range, Van Ginkel chips in with a few goals too.
Alan Pardew is available!
