None of your points make sense and directly contradict each other.

Why don’t you talk about the three other teams that finished above Van Gaal that mourinho has overtaken?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You said the City team we matched had all that talent.

You said we only had De Gea

Ergo, the team was crap but we matched the star studded City team you referred to.

Now we have the manager extraordinaire and have spent over a quarter of a billion to match the City team and are still 16 points behind.

Dude, you are stupid

It is weird that people feel the United side Jose inherited had as many talented players as the City one.

And that people ignore that City had been planning for Peps arrival for some time before he arrived
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's normally the same people who want to see half the squad sold each summer and slaag off each and every one of our players on the match thread each weekend.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have never called for that. So that is categorically false
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You need to look up the definitions of the words "normally" and "categorically", then read both of our comments again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nice swerve there. Funny enough, your partner in crime Robbie is the one that blames the players all the time except when LvG was the manager.

He blamed the players for Moyes' incompetence, blamed the players for Jose's too.

It has been 2 years and he does not know his best team or formation.

Amazing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Partner in crime

I was one of the very few people left on here defending LVG at the end of his last season in charge, and it looks like will likely be one of the very few people left defending Jose.

As very large parts of the complaints about LVG had become so ridiculously hyperbolic that people couldn't actually watch then analyse performances sensibly or even recognise good results, the very same thing is happening with Jose.

If we finish second and win the FA Cup, which would be our *third trophy in two seasons*, and people are still calling for the manager's head based on anything other than the style of football, then the only people who should be getting the sack are the fans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Rosso, the football is bull crap, we could win the league and I would complain.

It is abysmal and what is annoying is that the team has it in it to play excellent football

As if that was nothing, instead of nearly everything.

MuDD is a Swiss cheese poster because his points have so many holes in them.

Just a bitter man who can’t beat his hero LVG was sacked. Even I let go of Moyes.

If you aren't worried about what Mourinho could do to your club, just remember; it was because of him that we lost Lukaku. And De Bruyne. And Salah.

If you aren't worried about your best prospects ending up playing brilliantly for your rivals, you haven't been paying attention.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What could he possibly do to our club? You guys won two league titles since you sold Lukaku and KDB.

The absolute worst he could do to us is sell Martial. Hardly something to cry about. Other big clubs sell players and carry on. Dunno why we should act like a small club by crying if someone leaves.

Jose cannot and will not destroy the club. If anything he’s steadied the ship since he’s arrived. But for some reason people don’t want to acknowledge that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How much has he spent to "steady the ship"?

Ultimately people don't like and won't warm to Jose because:

He's genuinely not a likeable person.
He never takes any form of responsibility. Have you noticed how it's always "the players" instead of "we" when he gives interviews?
His football is drab.
He is a hypocrite beyond the usual level of football managers.

Now he obviously does have his plus points. He is a winner, of that there isn't a doubt but all his negative aspects cloud his positives to such an extent they're hard to see. It's why you have so many United fans unhappy about him despite 2 trophies and a likely second place this season. That won't change because he won't change.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What does all that have to do with the article?

The point is It could all be worse if we get rid of a guy who can at least get us CL football while he’s here. Speaking as a devils advocate for the club, I’d imagine that’s his remit. Get us CL football and try to win as many trophies as possible while doing that. He’s not doing such a bad job.

The fans want an exciting young attacking manager without really accepting the huge risk that comes with it. It may work out and when Jose goes I hope it does. But there’s every chance we bring in an AVB who loses control of the ship in a way that facks up what was built before.
---------------------------

When you look at our outlay, CL football should be a given. It should be the minimum requirement, not an achievement. And he might not be doing such a bad job as far as the board are concerned, but we aren't the board. We are fans and most of us want to be entertained, which simply isn't happening. Yes there is a risk that a more attacking manager might not qualify for the CL. But Jose himself didn't manage that via the league, relying on a fairly lucky Europa win. And Jose was also a risk when we took him on in terms of the progression of our younger players and having struggled in his previous role. There are risks with any manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think there are only a certain few managers out there who can manage a big club. I know either way, Jose will be leaving in the next couple of seasons unless we start winning the league and he fancies staying on.

The next guy will be interesting. How does he handle the pressure of managing this club? Ultimately far more people have failed at managing United than succeeded.

I would put money on a guy coming into United and getting us scoring loads of goals but missing out on CL football hood be just as castigated by fans as Jose is.
---------------------------

If the manager misses out on CL football then yes, he will be criticised. And rightly so. Why would you think that would be any different? Bu you keep talking like it is a choice between either good football or (relative) success. That isn't the case. Many teams have success whilst playing good football. Why shouldn't we want/expect the same?

Really? Please share these holes in them. Then we can discuss the craters in yours.

How many times have you left this place willingly and unwillingly again?
