Walker, I don't know a player who makes so many mistakes and yet still gets complimented as some great rb. Very strange.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because most of the time he’s excellent, a great outlet going forward and shiiit off a shovel in terms of pace
We basically traded a top right back who was prone to silly mistakes for an average right back (Aurier) who still makes silly mistakes

DDG
Walker VVD Verts Robertson
Fernandinho
KDB Silva
Salah Kane Sane
Tried to make it a bit more of a functioning team, with an actual DM and not having aguero out wide

Gotta be kante then, been unreal this season.

Christonghen, this is my point too. Every player choice is subjective, but we should at least pick players in their correct positions. De Bruyne, Silva and Eriksen have all been great - but 3 doesn't go into 2. Choose two of them, and include a defensive midfield player behind them (whether that's Fernandinho, Kante or someone else). It's stupid trying to shoe-horn De Bruyne into the defensive midfield position just so you can include an additional attacking midfield player.
Similarly, you can't pick both Kane AND Aguero, as they play in the same position. Unless you are thinking of playing 2 upfront, and getting rid of Salah, which is ridiculous. It's either Kane OR Aguero, with Salah on one side, and a left winger the other side (probably Sane).

No idea who he is
VVD.
Is he there on the basis that he cost £75m?

Well Nick given how you rate Otamendi and Walker, it's a wonder City managed to finish in the top 4.
Look you can argue that City had less defending to do because we kept the ball so well, but you can't then just dismiss Otamendi's statistics of complete passes as not justifying his inclusion in team of the season.
Try to ask yourself, if defenders who make great tackles but struggle in possession are superior to defenders whom are not as adept at defending but retain the ball well; why have City conceded the fewest goals and win the league? X
I haven’t mentioned otamendi once u donut
Quit banging on about Otamendi Nick

I fully agree that VVD shouldn't be in the PFA team of the year. Players voted around January I believe and van dijk was sidelined for half a years. He also didn't play well for Southampton due to obvious reasons. However he is currently the best CB in the league by a fair margin and that deserves a mention.
Otamendi deserves his place based on the entire season where he was defensively ok and was very good with the ball. Perfect for Pep's playstyle.
Though it's true that defensively he isn't as good as the pfa reward suggest and I think teams will try to exploit him next season. A tendency of losing his cool and getting carded often are things he needs to work on. It's a chance for Laporte to show some leadership when Kompany isn't playing.
