Hengy,

I'm with you on this. I would wager that our opponents were better teams than us in all but one of those seven Semi-Finals (Portsmouth).

While it's disappointing to lose seven in a row, we were never expected to win any and we have only been a 'top' team over the last 3/4 seasons.

I really don't get the whole "7 consecutive semis hoodoo" thing. Just looked it up and they were in 1993, 1995, 1999, 2001, 2010, 2012 and 2017. So only one of them under the current manager, and only one where any of the current team was involved (Danny Rose was in the squad in 2012 but didn't play).

How can a supposed hoodoo like that have any impact on the current players? It's like saying "I'm more likely to crash my car because my Nan was a cr@p driver." This current team and current manager have made 1 FA Cup semi-final, and they lost it. That's not a hoodoo, it's just losing one match.

Well said
Was your Nan a crap driver tho?

Horrific

That's too late to learn anything new really. My Nan didn't drive anywhere while my Grandad was alive - after he died she figured she'd give it a go having not driven since she was about 20

Absolutely terrifying being her passenger, she gave up within a month. May she rest in peace (to clarify, she didn't die in a car crash).

What would be the worry is Poch's record to the bigger teams in knock out rounds. We've not beaten a big team yet. We've gone out 4 times to the top 6 teams when we've met them, and if you include the big teams in Europe you can add going out to Juve and Dortmund.

We know how to beat them in the league, or in group stages, now we need to when it matters most.

Yeh it is not like Spurs don`t know how to beat the best teams, they do. They have beaten every top team over the past few years. But when push comes to shove, when it matters in a cup knockout, they just don`t seem to win.

I am struggling to get up for this match, I think deep down we all know that we will fail to make the final, it`s the Spurs way sadly. This is what years of disappointment does to you, I am expecting a classic Maureen performance from United and will be putting money on it.

Don't think I've ever seen you write a positive word about Spurs mate.

Well, I write plenty of positive things about Spurs, but sadly I`ve been here before all too often, I sincerely hope they start to prove me wrong. Like I said, years and years of let downs does this to you.

Stop that Ace.
Billy is a REAL Spurs fan.
And all of us real fans know exactly what to expect from Tottenham Hotspur on big occasions.
