They got rid of many "that could", as you say, but replaced them with lower league buys that haven't worked out. Hurst doesn't have the knack of working with such lower league acquisitions like a previous manager did.
Doesn't help that he has less to work with than the last guy that is for sure

Interesting one for Bright. I guess Scottish Prem is like lower Championship level, so if he can go there and get some game time and goals, it might do him the world of good. Undoubtedly has talent, but needs to get time on the pitch at his age.

Yeah it is a good loan for Batth, better than I expected to be honest dst though not sure what game time he will get.
Mason has gone backwards it seems, would have expected better than Pompey.
Ronan is at make or break stage I fear, he has to start playing regularly or his career with us and his career in general will disappear.
I hope Ronan makes it he showed such promise.
