Bearing in mind there's very few that can take credit since the turn of the year can't really buy into this dire labelling of Saiz and Ayling.

Several more I want gone before them.

I wouldn’t get rid of him.

He has shown there is a useful player in there this season.

However reading him the riot act won’t make a difference.

He is 27 and has spent time at both real and athletico Madrid (all be it in their reserves) and they couldn’t get him to improve his decision making.

And I’ll be honest, I reckon that the Madrid’s probably have better coaches then PH, if they couldn’t get his game where it needs to be he won’t

How many games has he changed?
He’s a sellable asset and we need the money. Of course there are players like wiewald and okane who should be binned before Saiz but will be a lot harder getting shut of terrible players on long contracts.

So you advocate we keep the dross because we can’t get rid and sell our better players?

Hmmmmm - not sure that I’ll end up well.

I listened to the game on Radio yesterday and just after Saiz was subbed Noel Whelan said he was throwing a real wobbly in the dugout, throwing and kicking things all over the place!..

When he joined us I think it was him that someone said he's one that thinks of himself before others and said he has problems with team mates, when he keeps the ball all the time, spits at people, and throws a wobbly after being substituted, its makes one wonder!..

If that's an attitude problem than there's no way of getting it out of him, and that being the case is he unsettling the others?..

To be fair I think he was peed off because he was subbed ahead of Pablo - who was pretty poor yesterday.

Maybe PH left him on so that we won't be too upset when he leaves.

-----
Let's just look at his recent games:
Sunderland - got the assist on Pablo' s goal and then hit the post with a great free-kick.
Fulham- played a smart pass in the build up to Ekuban's chance and put one on a plate for Grot.
Bolton - set Ekuban up with another great chance that was missed
Reading - got an assist on Pablo's goal
Derby - came on and made what should have been the winner out of nothing

He's off form and his attitude was poor yesterday. Sometimes he makes the wrong decision. But let's not start pretending he doesn't affect games. If we had better strikers than Grot, Ekuban, Roofe then he'd have a dozen more assists to his name.

Saiz is 27 and yet his decision making is absolutely horrendous. If he was younger then I'd say that it was something that could be coached, but I have to question whether he actually wants to learn, if he hasn't learned by now.

Don't think he is nearly as good as he thinks he is. Running the ball past a few people is pointless if, nine times out of ten, you then lose it without shooting or creating a goalscoring chance.

Lubo, I've just given examples from recent games when he has created great chances that haven't been converted by our poor forwards.

If his decision making was brilliant, he'd be a Premier League player. Surround him with better and he'll trust them more.

Its all well and good to mention one or two examples he's done it in the odd game, but a player of the talent that he clearly has should be creating fou, five, six good chances a game at minimum. He doesn't do that.

posted on 22/4/18

It's not the odd game though or 1 or 2 examples though, is it? It's a lot of good chances he's made over a season. If he was making 4 a game, he wouldn't be at this level.

He needs to add more goals to his game. And like Alioksi, he'll have benefited from a full season in English football. Next season, I'd expect him to be better. But his supposed lack of end product is being over exaggerated.

No, I said nothing of the sort.

In the last game alone he almost cost us 2 goals by 1) not tracking back and 2) not playing to the whistle.
An odd good pass Dosnt negate giving the ball away 20 times a game and offering nothing defensively.
Negatives outweigh the positives heavily.

Ive watched him play enough this season to have made a judgememtn that far too often he doesn't release the ball when he should.

If Pablo goes and let's be honest it's looking more likely each game then there's no way I'd sell Saiz. A decent manager would get the best out of him. He only kicked a hoarding when he came off hardly threw a wobbler. Probably pd off with his own performance maybe?

posted on 22/4/18

A few years back, we had a player who was skillful but hard to manage. So we sold him for a modest fee. He found a manager who knew how to get the best out of him, and he came good in the end. Cantona, his name was.

Happy days, Lufc, that's what 'fired up' looks like. That video should be shown to all our so-called players who think they can wear the white shirt.
But Samu has to stay.

On his day, he's run the game. Been untouchable.

Needs the right coach to get the best from him, when he's at his best he's world class.

World class? He is struggling to perform in tier 2 of english football on a consistent level. At his best he is a top end Tier 2 footballer and no more, but sadly he has not performed at this level over one 90 minute game let alone string a few decent games together.

posted on 23/4/18

Of course he has, I think you're been a bid overly dramatic about him.

World class..........over dramatic.

Ronaldo is world class. He plays for Real madrid and scores for fun in the Champions League

Messi is world class. He plays for Barcelona and scores for fun in the Champions League

Samu Saiz plays for 12th placed tier 2 Leeds United - the biggest club hes ever played for
