He's one of those players that divides opinion.
He has a huge amount of talent & great skills but delivery flatters to deceive often.
I would like us to keep him. Poor guy has been blighted by injuries and has had one full season when he was a key performer.
To me he provides something a bit different epsecially when a deep sitting defence leaves no room in behind for Son/Lucas/full backs to exploit. He can genuinely go past players and open up space. Just needs to add a killer ball and a few more goals to his repertoire.
Love his work ethic and niggly Argie attitude
Supposedly Inter are keen this summer. I'd personally back it if he were sold. I do quite like him as a player, but I think Spurs need more pace in the final third - both in terms of foot speed and also speed of thought/decisiveness. Lamela is many things but he's not quick, and he takes far too long to release the ball.

Much like what Hengy said, he is ok. At his most useful in the big games but is painfully limited when it comes to contributing in terms of goals and assists.
In his position he is probably 5th choice, and if he is happy with that then sound
I like him and would like to keep him but I think he will leave if a relatively big team can offer him a regular start. Before the injury he was playing well and getting lots of game time but since his return he seems to have fallen down the Poch pecking order.
at the moment he is 2nd choice behind Son. Eriksen and dele always play, it is just that final position. Moura will hopefully play more soon
If we want another attacking MF he’s the one that would need to go to make room.
I'd much rather see Malcom playing in the 3 behind Kane, to offer more pace, width and unpredictability. Eriksen/Alli/Lamela is all too one-paced.
Course I'd also like to see Moura instead of Alli but then I'm a miserable git who just doesn't like Alli because he can't pass. He is improving in that respect, I'll admit.
Still, Eriksen/Alli/Son/Moura/Malcom would be an awesome set of attacking midfielders.

Agree with you re us being one paced in attack but is this Malcolm kid just a plan C coz we cant afford Zaha or mahrez ?
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I almost wish we hadn't signed Moura (we dont play him anyway) and gone all out for Mahrez this summer... He's better than Sonny, Lamela & Moura

So these 3 are just going to never play
Yeah, its early days but Moura doesn't look like the player I had hoped I signed.
Eh? Moura has looked good whenever he's played. The only thing holding him back is Pochettino's over-the-top insistence on bedding players in 100% before giving them starts. I honestly think Moura and Aurier would've improved massively by now if he'd just played them and let them learn on the job. I think he's mis-managing them both at this point, considering there's players in each of their positions (Trippier, Son) who aren't performing well at the moment.
I do understand that he needs to coach them in the team's tactics and philosophy, but... come on, man. It's fυcking football, not quantum physics. They can learn by doing.
Trigger the extension for obvious reasons but listen to offers. Value around what, £25m? Doesn't buy much I guess
Trigger it.
As for Lucas Moura, he’s barely played any football for PSG this season prior to joining us. Admittedly Son has been poor for 2 months, but had we just thrown Moura in straight away and he’d struggled, you’d all be complaining that he needs to earn his spot.
Patience.

You always trigger the option, even if you intend on selling him
Any additional length on the players contract increases the potential transfer value
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Very true
I like him a lot as a player and think he is a valuable member of the squad. If he is happy not being first choice (and that is motivation for him to improve) then definitely keep him.
In theory though if we are serious about improving, as Hengy said, he's an obvious casualty IF we could get someone who was definitely better.

Agreed, not sure how long a player has to be at Spurs before Poch lets them off the leash The team looks stale over the past month, and badly needs freshening up. Both Aurier and Moura should have been starting against Watford.
I'm not writing him off and don't need patience. I literally posted my comments saying 'its early days'.
It's just I had hoped with Moura we had signed a player who regularly takes on the fullback and constantly looks to run in behind. So far he has looked to pick up the ball from deep primarily, whereas I had hoped we had signed more of a Zaha type player.

Spurs have only lost two games when Aurier has started. So why would your blood pressure go up when Spurs are winning most games he participates in.
