Does it mean more money available for us to spend? Or less?

It means he's got more money than we thought

Sky don't have CL, they don't have La Liga, they've not got the PL exclusively these days, they don't even have Scotland exclusively anymore.

Wonder what's going down behind the scenes, makes any decision to ditch sky much easier. Think i'll just keep BT for next season.

Sky look to be struggling to me. They lost the Ashes to BT. CL has been with BT for some time. Now lost Spain too.

I'd wonder how many people actually watch La Liga in the UK though. Who tunes in for Celta vs Betis? They will get good audiences for el clasico but aside from that, I wouldn't expect it to be high.

They seem to push more towards the Championship and can count on big audiences for this.

I reckon that Sky already have their customer base and so know how much a franchise is likely to be worth to them, but other companies are willing to over-bid to get a foot in the door.

If Sky thought it was profitable to get it, they would have got it.

He'll be showing La Liga on LUTV now

the independent saying hes going to bid to take the remaining premier league packages too.

More interested in TV deals than the club this explains a lot money for deals little for Leeds

Better start sharing that wealth and splashing some money this summer.

I watch loads of la liga, Barca, Real & Athletico are on all the time.

I do wonder what will happen to Spanish football once messi and Ronaldo finish

They just can’t compete with the prem when it comes to tv rights and that’s when the two biggest star and biggest by a mile play there

Sky have got abit if problem.

Premier league doesn’t need sky, it’s the other way round

posted on 2/5/18

urgh, thats why Sky charge 37 million quid per box office event for a boxing fan to watch the big fights

alright, slight exaggeration but still

Leeds on sky watch it in the pub.
Leeds not on sky but being televised somewhere in the world, VPN to Portugal (works better than Spain), pay per view.
Leeds not being televised anywhere VPN to Germany pay per view.
More expensive than Sky but only marginally, better than some dodgy facebook link which can go down any minute. Not paying money to that Aussie batard.

LIW is right, sky need the PL even though viewing is falling, probably down to so many smallish fan bases in the PL.
La Liga doesn’t have the worldwide pull like the PL
I get it for nothing and have to pay for the PL.

SET Tv on the firestick is $20 a month, HD streams.

Bein sports. Sky sports, all PPV events etc.

TV shows etc etc, seems the best going.

I honestly don’t see how this is anything other than a good thing

More broadcasting rights means more revenue

More revenue means more money

More money means more investment in the club

More investment means being able to sign top players

Being able to sign top players means building a promotion winning squad.

Tall

Your assuming two things

1 they can make money on the deals, loads of small broadcasters have gone too the wall

2 any money goes to Leeds, why would it ???

If I'm totally honest, it reminds of Bates's hotels !

IPTV is £11 a month for everything, all in HD....so I've heard.

I cancelled Sky 18 months ago, was sick of paying 65 a month. The wife just has the basic package that offered me half price so its £14 so she still has catch up.

Lots of guys on here use High's links to get free coverage to matches. Strikes me as sheer hypocrisy to do that and then moan that money isn't going to Leeds.
I know Wakey and others are ST holders so cash is going directly to the club.
My way of seeing matches isn't 100% legit but I am at least contributing.
Those of you who are using facebook links need to take a long hard look.

Acid, those who are using facebook in general need to take a long hard look
