Ok your opinion is now rendered obsolete.

You rate Jordan Henderson, get out of this forum
--------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't rate a player who's been playing his whole career in one of the toughest leagues in the world.

Captains one of the biggest clubs on the planet. Captains his country. Has just captained his club to a CL final. You'd be mental not to rate him at least a bit with a CV like that.

Yet you rate Tierney who's played in Scotland, second choice for his country, gets ripped to shreds whenever Celtic play a decent outfit.

Behave.

Tierney is a top drawer player with the potential to be one of the best left backs in the world, what a player has achieved is not a good barometer for their ability.

Come on now.

you think the captain of a club in CL final and England is rotten.

I aint saying he is worldy or the best but he is far from rotten. He would be the best CM up here by a country mile.

He is better than the best in this country (Brown) unless you think Brown is rotten ........

Were either of those playing regular PL football for the majority of the past decade? No.

Bertrand has only had 4 full seasons in the PL in fairness, majority of the rest of his career where loan deals to the championship.

Rose has played 117 premiership games in 8 years as well.

These guys haven't even been regulars for years fs

course he is, didnt you know Madrid wanted to sign him after he tore them apart wait......

If he was genuinely gonna be one of the best LB in the world then the likes of PSG, Barca, Real, Man City, Bayern would all be bidding for him but havent

Ah, now we're getting somewhere.

I perhaps gave you too much credit that you just thought Robertson was better but it's clearly more to do with something against KT.

When has KT been second choice for Scotland? In your own time please.

When has KT been torn to shreds against a decent team, again, in your own time

All the European clubs rip off the prem teams, so why can't Celtic. A young player like Tierney should be sold for a fortune, especially as wages wise he will be cheap by Prem standards. This stance in Scotland has to start with Celtic as the most successful club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do they? I'd suggest that it's more Prem teams that rip off Prem teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Lazar Markovic £20m from Benfica, Jannsen £17m from AZ Alkmaar, Bakayoko £40m Monaco - there are loads of examples

Bertrand started playing in the PL in 2011 and Rose since 2010.

Even by the 4 years you are giving them, thats 4 years at the top level Tierney doesnt have.

He's not even got 4 years experience at any level.

Anything around £15 million and hell be off (if he wants to go)

I find the high price of players playing in the Spfl a bit of a joke, the standard is pretty poor up here.

Yes Tierney is a good player and yes hes had a couple of decent performances in europe, but he's still a massive gamble if a big club want him.

Probably see Burnley or Everton chancing their arm on him but thats about it.

What Scottish player has gone down to the EPL and excelled in the past 10 years?

Charlie Adam did extremely well
Macarthur has done ok
Arfield was a real threat on form but inconsistent
Naismith did ok but again really inconsistent
Robertson obviously the best of them and truly looks a class player

Who else?

Tierney isn't better than Rose though or even Bertrand.

Can I nominate this for mental comment of the year?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both full internationals.
1 a CL winner in Bertrand.
The other rumoured to be going for 50m and was sensational last season.
Both long term PL stalwarts whereas KT has been rinsed in Europe but looked good in the Premiership in Scotland.

What has Tierney done to be rated higher than either of them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

As a Spurs fan I would take Tierney over Rose. Danny is second choice at Spurs these days behind Ben Davies. He was not sensational last season either, he was injured at Sunderland in February. We subsequently won 12 of our last 13 without him, and he hasn't nailed down a first team spot since.

Bertrand barely did anything towards his CL winners medal, Djimi Traore has one FFS. Bertrand has helped Southampton nearly get relegated this season.

Nothing against him apart from he plays for Celtic

I think he's a good young LB with bags of potential but you guys go well overboard with the praise, good in Scotland that's about as far as you can confidently say about his abilities, not potential ability.

He's second choice for Scotland right now his rival is in the CL final playing the best football of his life.

Did you miss the pumpings in the CL, didn't do much in them did he?

When has he come up against a genuinely top player and got the better of them?

I seriously doubt that. I doubt Celtic would sell him just now at that price considering his potential at 20 years old, and Tierney has shown his hand on where he wants to play by signing a 6 year contract. Hardly the sign of a guy who wants to jump ship at the first opportunity.

Oh and why are some people acting like Tierney hasn't achieved anything?

We're talking about a 20 year kid who has already played 127 times for Celtic.

He's won 3 league titles, 2 League cups, 1 Scottish Cup(with another one hopefully round the corner)

He's also captained Celtic and Scotland not to mention winning 3 young player of the year awards in the process.

Hell, he even made the Champion league team of the group stages whist being in a team that basically got pumped.
