Colorado Rapids have decided to end Joe Mason’s loan and he is on his way back to Wolves

posted on 12/7/18

Mason's been "waived" in true American style.

So now we can concentrate on the build up to the new season without all those ridiculous false hopes of England becoming world champions distracting us.

Looks like youngster Ryan Giles is making a big impression on the Swiss tour, look forward to seeing him in Saturday’s game against, appropriately, Young Boys. Last season he went on loan to Telford late in the season and evidently played a massive role in saving them from what looked like certain relegation

Less than a month to go now in the transfer window. Hope we can see a few more comings and goings soon. Plenty more money available to us this summer, but probably the case that there are lots of clubs looking at the same players

The man that kept Neves out of the Portuguese World Cup team was Joao Mario and Wolves are now said to be favourites to sign him from Inter Milan

At the end of July 2015 Bakary Sako’s contract with Wolves ran out and he left to join Palace as a free agent, signing a 3 year contract. That contract runs out at the end of this month and he will be leaving Palace as a free agent

posted on 14/7/18

Remember when folk were saying he couldn't be replaced?

We only went and did it three times with better so far

posted on 14/7/18

Not strictly true DJ.

Sako's contract ended on June 30, which is the norm for every player. He is currently without a club and a free agent, because he turned down a new one with Palace.

By the way, I remember those days well cinci. Not many of us held the view that we could do well without him.

The first payment of PL money for 18/19 is made to clubs this week evidently. Between £40m and £50m. Nice little bank deposit

posted on 15/7/18

With regard to Sako there wasn't an ounce of doubt he would have been missed unless of course we bought in £50m of new talent, something that was nothing to do with reality at the time he was leaving. Oh how clever we can all look in hindsight

posted on 15/7/18

You should know all about hindsight.

I'll bet he wished he'd stayed around for longer, as I don't see him returning to the Premiership right now.
