The ruling authorities in Portugal have decided that Patricio was within his rights to resign from his contract with Sporting Lisbon
----------------------------------------------------------------------
GOOD.so it's jog on SL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not quite, there is still the FIFA investigation ongoing but Comissão Arbitral Partidária has accepted that Patricio followed the right process when resigning his contract which has considerably weakened Sporting's case.

So the gossip is that a Portuguese player is signing for us on Monday and not one that’s recently been linked with us. Moutinho maybe?

And also this week, Wolves tipped to meet the release clause in Boro’s Traore contract

And reported that Athletic Madrid are signing full back Jonny Castro from Celta Vigo then loaning him to Wolves for a season.

Reports that Moutinho will be at Compton tomorrow for his medical (Tim Spiers). Im confident that this is a bit more than Sperton-esque speculation and can sit happily here on this thread.

Surely Cav has to make the bench?

There are rumours that Nuno wants to convert Traore into a wing back. Its been rumoured that other big clubs have wanted to do that too. Apparently he started as a full back.

By the way, the new bird I've been seeing is a died in the wool Evertonian, and I have of course been ripping the proverbial over them spending £50m on 5 goal a season striker.

Expect his to be the first name on the scoresheet on the 11th.

My expectation is that Cav will be sold this summer. I was told 2 months ago that was the plan. Might be right might be wrong but I suspect it’s true and some of the players tipped to be coming in feel like replacements to me

I would be incredibly disappointed if that were true. Cav is a big impact player and even if displaced from the starting line up; has a lot to offer from the bench.

No question he improved no end last season compared to his first season. Ironically I would have been happy for us to release him a year ago but do think he is a decent squad player now. But I am told (don’t shoot the messenger) that his relationship with Nuno isn’t great

Now before you all say.....Halfy you endbel, Perton’s thread is for all the twitter bollax and speculation rumours, Gems gonna smash you one in the gob ! Just hang on a minute !!!!!!!!!

My point is, can you believe that we are being linked with this calibre of player

Last year we were wondering if Jordon Rhodes would sign, and it only seems 5 mins since we had Leon Clarke on the books

I love Lil Jeff and Goudog

Mir out on loan done deal then.
Why on earth did we ever buy him in the first place?

I've stated a few times on here, that I thought Mir was a panic buy in the January transfer window. Having seen him play, I guess Nuno doesn't feel he's up to it for the Premiership. With his move to the second tier of Spanish football, I doubt we'll see him in a Wolves shirt again, unless he becomes a scoring sensation. Even more weird is the fact that we gave him such a long contract.

With Moutinho now in the bag, and Castro likely to he confirmed tomorrow, Wolves still hoping to bring in three more. The signing of Castro probably means we won’t now be going for Zinchenko

he cost £1m didn't he? hardly a massive outlay, he clearly has talent, enough that Real Madrid were in for him too. we won't lose out on this kid

Wolves confirming that Saiss will be used as a centre back this season and will be competing with Ryan Bennett for the position on the right of the back three

posted on 24/7/18

I have nothing against Bennett who I think is a solid, no - nonsense defender but Saiss is a better ball player than Bennett.
With Saiss, Coady and Boly in front of Patricio we just have one of the best defenses in the league.
Also, with 3 ball playing centre backs a lot of the creativity going forwards will start in the back 3.
