Maybe a blow to Wolves transfer plans. In the Boro v Sunderland friendly tonight, Traore dislocated his shoulder

posted on 28/7/18

Evidently Wolves were expected to finalise the summer signing of Traore in the next couple of days but are now waiting for an update on his injury. He is expected to be not available to play for at least a month

look on the bright side - normally we pay the money , then they get crocjked

A great gesture from a great football club.

PURE CLASS FROM FOSUN ! Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has been forced to quit professional football aged 32 after battling with leukaemia.
However, Wolves’ decision to award Ikeme with the improved contract he would have received for playing in the Premier League is a simply magnificent gesture. Well done to whoever made it happen.

Lot of people seem disappointed that we have sold Douglas but have to say he was one of the ones I thought we would need to upgrade on when promoted. Let’s hope Castro does prove to be an upgrade.

And the absence of Cavaleiro from the squad today may well be another indication that he will soon be moving on too

Even though he dislocated his shoulder at the weekend I understand Wolves are still in for Traore and hope to sign him this week

In the Premier League so far this transfer window 3 teams, Watford, Leicester and Newcastle have brought in more money than they have spent.

3 have spent nothing - Spurs, Palace and Burnley.

So 15 teams have spent money and Wolves are the 11th highest spenders

The club engaging with the community again - love it!

This kind of thing can help to integrate the Wolves fans with non footballing members of the community, putting some pride back into Wolverhampton.

I do think there are some real messages to those that defended Moxey saying he did a good job at the club. The new regime have bought success to the club with their deep pockets being a big factor in that. But alongside that Dalrymple and co have done so much better at engaging with the supporters and with the city as a whole, and that has contributed to the feel good factor that is filling the stadium and producing good atmosphere

A classic example of why I find Twitter puerile.

Posted by Tim Nash on Twitter:
"The talk about Chris Smalling...move along, there's nothing doing. An emphatic no."

Shortly afterwards posted on Sky News Twitter account:
"SMALLING AGREES WOLVES DEAL"
"Manchester United defender Chris Smalling had agreed a deal with Wolves, according to reports in the Daily Express."

As regards its treatment of fans the club has been poorly run for decades not just under moxey.
when my dad moved to Hereford in the early 70s he was told about this talented local young school boy whose family would have liked him to go to Wolves. Dad phoned wolves twice and was told that they would do something about seeing him. Nothing ever happened.
That was Kevin Sheedy.
Another example was my accountants son. He was offered a trial at wolves 5 in the evening. He turned up at Molineux and the whole place was in darkness, everybody has gone home. He was 14 and had made his way there from Telford. it was in December so it was during the dark nights.
