Jardim/Pochettino and Luis Campos as DoF would be ideal.

For the people using the “PSG underachieved the year Monaco won the league” to play down the achievement, it could be argued City underachieved for our last 2 titles.

I’m not saying they did I just think if you’re gonna use that as your argument then it’s fair to flip it back on you.

Who is currently in charge of recruitment?

Jardim did an exceptional job at Monaco. Don't think anyone would deny that, and I don't buy into this idea that a team can underachieve for an entire season. Monaco won and they deserved it

Having said that I don't think we are the right club. If I was making the decisions I'd go all out for Simeone. Bring back Diego Costa and go all out for Griezmann. That's the only way I can see us competing with City only the next couple of seasons

Hiring Simeone would no different what we have doing in the past. Looking at short term solutions. Hire an experienced manager buy experienced players = short term success.

Exactly. It's time to look forward, rebuild our footballing identity as a club and move with the times. Expansive football is the way ahead and we have the young players coming through to play exactly that style of football.

Why is it a short term solution?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As proved with Jose and Conte recently. They are only interested in buying experienced players which can deliver instant success. I am not that’s possible now with Man City and Man Utd blowing everyone out of the water for transfer fees.

If we are not going to compete financially with these two clubs then it’s time to go in a different direction

True that Greatteams. I am not sure he would swap Atletico Madrid for Chelsea if there are no incentive for him. He’d only leave Atletico Madrid if he is given money to financially compete with the likes of Manchester clubs, Real Madrid, PSG, Barca and Bayern.

Greatteams have Simeone take over at Pool then if you love him and his style of football so much. We'll have Klopp

Sarri's looking a bit shaky now, various reports claiming he's about to sign a new deal. Told you anything can happen Superb

Bad news is the same reports are claiming Luis Enrique is the new favorite

posted on 17/5/18

I would rather keep Conte and back him than bring im Enrique and believe me I want Conte gone.

posted on 17/5/18

Sarri has not signed the extension yet. But the Italian are saying talks are ongoing. Sarri will be given a pay rise to £4m per year and there will be no release clause if signs.

Personally I am not bothered if we get him or not, Jardim would be more appealing. Younger and flexible in his approach.

Doubt we will give in to Enrique’s wage demands, hence why our board are looking at other options.

If the club brings in Enrique, then the mercenary in me would seriously consider having a bet on him being sacked by following March.

Obviously I wouldn’t make the bet outta some mis-guided loyalty, but I definitely feel it would be a close run thing with him and AVB for the shortest lived ‘long term’ appointment under Roman. Am excluding Robbie here.

I've got very little interest in Enrique. Just don't think he's a good fit at all. Sadly knowing the club they'll go for him ahead of Jardim because he has a bigger profile etc

I'm veering towards Jardim with his experience with the Monaco youth. We have got the best kids in Europe, even the German clubs are monitoring our youngsters. If he can bring just 3 in a season through I'd be very happy. RLC, Mason Mount, Dujon Sterling, etc.

Really? I’d much rather have Simeone than Klopp.
