Don't know about the detail of that but I agree with the principle. If he comes knocking - for anybody - not just Carson, the price should, on principle, be very high to finance our next phase. It's a way of re-distributing parachute payments

I'm not sure Carson would want to go to Stoke. He seems like a decent chap who isn't motivated by money or the Premier League.
Can't see why anyone would be motivated by or about Stoke.

based on Derby's form since Christmas, Carson is not the only one who is not motivated by the premier league
Will be interesting to see if Rowett does com in for Carson
personally I think Butland is an awful keeper, and one of the reasons Stoke got relegated is that there was pressure from the England setup / from fans due to him being an England international to play him.
Of course he might leave Stoke anyway but it will be interesting to see if Rowett also thinks Butland isn't good enough.

Yes, I agree Vital and the Fail make for a combination best describes as fanciful at the best of times. If there is an element of truth in the rumours of financial difficulties on the horizon at PP then may be it would explain whh Rowett was so keen to jump ship?
I am interested, Igor, as my bro is a Ram and I like to keep abreast of the situation at times for conversational purposes. We will, of course, wait and see who is taking who for a walk next season, though...
