Would not surprise me at all

certainly gets goals and assists from wide left

It’s always tough with these lower league players, some make the jump up some just don’t. Haven’t seen much of Maddison to have a view.

With any posh players though you’re paying a premium. The chairman is a real estate sales guy and knows how to talk up the value of his players!

hmm..

mcanthony has transfer listed him.

(promised madison if they didnt go up he would let him leave)

so will have a set price and i assume they wont try and price him out of a transfer. would be more reasonable than trying to take marriot i reckon

Having seen him, I think he'd be a great signing if he can make the step up, reasonably quick with some good assists and goals.
He seems to play on the right even though he's left footed.
Gavin whyte from crusaders also continues to be mentioned.

He only played 8 times last season, was he injured?

played 41 times in the league.

8 goals and 18 assists.

Posh were touting him around the Championship in January for 5-6m, Leeds were apparently willing to pay around 3m which eventually went on Roberts instead.
No-one came in for MM, Posh then agreed they'd with him they'd lower their asking price in the Summer if not promoted - how much lower, I don't know.
Can't say much on him quality wise as I don't really follow them, but local fans rate him highly. However, according to my same source other players can't stand him because of the ego he has.

18 assists is good, is he fast? Need at least 3 pacey players next season.

posted on 22/5/18

We definitely need some pace

looks quite quick in league one.

stick him up against fulhams right back ryan fredricks and he prob looks slow.

Yeah yeah, YouTube I know, but it certainly looks like he can pick a pass out

defo looks like hes good with a quick striker.

play lots of balls almost blind / into very good areas and marriott always seems to be on the end of them in those goals.

posted on 22/5/18

Yeah I noticed that he barely looked up when playing most of those, looks very good with the ball

He’s a fantastic assister.

Puts things on a plate from open play and set pieces.

He’s also a massive diver and injury feigner.

He scores the odd worldly but also shoots too often.

Been saying we should sign him for a while. Good player.

Can we just stop scouring the lower divisions and buying players who are not good enough? Our scouts just aren't good enough. I would prefer 3 - 4 players who are proven in this league, than 10 who might make the grade. Elland Road was a train station at the start of last season but we soon ran out of steam.

18 assists without watching him says to me he is either a keen passer or has a decent set piece, maybe even both.

Rumours were the release clause is 2m... McAnthony says it’s higher than the rumours.

Seems Reading have a very firm interest in him too

Not sure anyone should be having an opinion until Mike has offered his 'World football' view.....

...if he has a few cruyff turns on YouTube and a good performance on football manager that will do it for me.

If someone knows a posh season ticket holder who thinks he’s the new Messi than all the better.
