Let’s see how the trannies next door perform next time round.
2 match series are completely pointless and really not reflective of the level of the teams. At the end of this series, Pakistan will come away as having drawn the test series.
If you look back at when India last to England, they went 1-0 up after either the first or second test (can't remember) but ended up losing the overall series 3-1. if that was a 2 match series, India would have been winners of that tour.
Same as Sri Lanka - 2 match series, won the first game and drew the second. Had there been another couple of tests, I'm pretty sure England would have easily beaten them.

James Anderson just needs 24 more test wickets to become the leading seam bowler wicket taker in history.. I fancy he'll do it against India if he manages to stay fit for all 5 matches.
It'll be an amazing achievement if Jimmy manages it. He has an incredible record over the last 12 months with something like 75 wickets at an average of 19.
Good bowler Anderson but will struggle to make the top 20 greats. Reminds me of when Kapil Dev broke the record a few years back. More down to longevity than greatness.

All in all it was a good series (despite only two games) - Test cricket at it's best with how quickly things can change game to game. Pakistan were error strewn from the moment Imam played that reckless shot in the first innings. Should have played three tests minimum.
It was 2 boring tests though. Both games lost after day 1. That's cricket in May for you.
Michael Holding Botham and so on. Have said modern day test wickets are wayyyy more flatter than when they played. Anderson as played some very flat pitches over the years.. His record is superb. even away from home his record is not to be sniffed at.
and its nothing to do with playing in May. neither team have great batting line ups. Even in July or August. both teams will collapse under pressure.

poor decisions after the toss basically
Best of luck to James Anderson. He is a quality bowler especially his bowling spell in South Africa against Pakistan in World Cup in 2003 was amazing and a display of brilliant fast swing bowling. It was the match when Shoaib Akhtar broke 100 miles per hour speed barrier and bowled two fastest balls in cricket history if memory serves me correct.
Not sure what’s worse. England Spider-Man kit or this bowling performance against a minnow.
It's a flat pitch but yeah the bowling has been poor.

apparently the story circulating is sky had the rights for these games between pak-scot, the bbc tried to buy the game highlights but sky refused as they didn't want any other cricket to interfere with the womens odi and the eng-aus game, not even a red button option! if that is true no wonder cricket grounds are empty
You can watch it on YouTube. A14 sent the link. It will be on the pakpassion thread
The camera angle for today's match between Pakistan and Scotland is quite strange.
