Rojo and Blind didn't play together because LVG was very insistent on playing 1 left and 1 right rooted CB in a back 4. That has nothing to do with left footers not being 2 footed. Playing 2 left footed CBs is no different to playing 2 right footed CBs, especially when Blind is very 2 footed and right footers like Smalling and Jones aren't.

Have to agree to disagree 1982, I think there's a reason why lefty don't play together in certain positions tbh.

With the addition of Fred complimenting Pogba, we'll definitely have an exciting midfield next season.

Yeah because there are far less of them. It looks like we will be going into next season with 2 out of 3 CMs left footed, there's no issue because all 3 of them seem very comfortable on their weaker foot.

I do find left footed players tend to be more one footed.

Matic isn’t bad with his right, I dunno about Fred. But there’s a natural instinct to move to your favoured foot and with Matic, Pogba and potentially Fred all looking to move to the left whenever they receive the ball it could cause balance issues.

If all 3 naturally move to the left then does that have anything to do with what foot they are seeing as Pogba is right footed?

I don’t think he’s that comfortable, which is why he usually tries to get onto his left. Watch how often he has to shield and turn to get onto his left. Compare it to Carrick who is great with both feet and it makes a difference when releasing the ball from that deep midfield position for us, especially when his one touch passing isn’t anywhere near as good as Carrick’s.

I can’t comment on whether Fred is always looking to move onto his left but it wouldn’t surprise me. Pogba goes both ways, he’ll often cut back onto his right, but his position is weighted to the left hand side of the pitch. If we have the same issue with Fred it then starts to funnel to that side even more than it already does, which could prove problematic.

Granted our lack of threat down the right contributes to this anyway. Perhaps we might see Pogba taking up a more central position to give us more balance in the middle if this becomes an issue.

Maybe a midfield of Fred, Pogba and Herrera could be the way forward for us in certain games next season.

Haha yeah as if Mourinho will drop Matic.

Two more fullbacks, another CM and Toby would have us set for next season imo.
