Given the public challenge about needing financial backing, I think this can be taken as basically a guarantee that Spurs will spend some dough this summer.

Apparently his new deal (after bonuses) is worth £8.5m a year. That's £3m a year more than his previous one. More than a 50% pay rise. I wonder if the same rate will be applied to players' contracts...

Great news but I've just read his quotes. The fact that he said that he and Levy agree that we need to make SUSTAINABLE progress says everything. Levy will back him but not with silly money. Sounds like a compromise to me.
