Still want a new cb, dont trust lovren without vvd, had a good game but doesnt negate all the fecks up, of which im sure he will continue to do (would prefer to have 2 trusted cb, rather than just 1 who babysits the other)

We thought we were safe with Karius and it hurt us big time. Every time we think Lovren is the answer he lets you down. We still need a better partner for VVD and Lovren is not that player.

Agreed about the midfield. It potentially has all the varieties covered.

Henderson will still start next season!

I’m surprised klopp is not looking at cb and gk which is top priority and if klopp gets it right again you could be up there challenging city

Ahead of whom? Keita, Fabinho or Ox?

That's without Fekir being taken into consideration.

For me this is all good. One out Can, on in Fabinho.

Great.

Do the same up top with sturridge and maybe orgi and even ings (woodburn and wilson should get at least a go then in preseason) and we should be good.

I don't know what klopp will do at the back frankly. I think most of the stories seem to be speculative and opportunistic at the moment so who can tell what the plan is.

Since VVD joined us we have had the best defence in the premiership.

The myth that we have a poor defence is from rival fans on here who don't actually watch football and just read the red top rags.

Henderson won't get much of a look in next season with the signings being made.

I can see him moving on, a good player but far from top quality that's needed.

I'm fine with Lovren for now. VVD alongside plus fabinho and a new keeper and we should finally have a settled defensive unit.

It would be amazing to go out and get another elite level CB to partner VVD, but it's not a priority right now and we should spend our money elsewhere in my opinion.

They will all be rotated heavily I imagine to avoid burnout. Really don't think it'll be a case of these are the 3 who play every week barring injury so they will all get plenty of minutes.

We’ve no idea when the Ox will be back from his injury, we don’t know what he’ll be like when he gets back. He could have a season much the same like lallana has just had or a few years like Ings has had.

Going with the players we’ve got at the club right now I’d say our starting 3 for the first game will be.

I’m optimistic after last season but know we’ve been in a similar position before. The signings in midfield seem like sound business and it’s good we’re getting them done early.

Biggest thing for me. We need a bloody keeper.

The last moth of the season really showed how we lacked a bit of depth in all areas so good to see the club being proactive and replacing a player before he's left

With Keita coming too the midfiled looks stronger overall.

Still need a keeper, and a versatile attacker who is close to the level we have in the front 3 so we can really rotate them without losing much.

I'd defo take another CB but it's not the most glaring position, attacker is more important and a keep is an absolute must.

The goal keeping situation simply has to be addressed this summer. Both had very good chances to cement themselves as number one and both went down like cheap hookers!

For once we dont have to stress about any sales. The only possible big sale I can think of is if Salah sets the world cup alight.

So everything we do this season will be adding to a squad that came 4th and blitzed its way to the CL final. We're on the up

Exactly not like they haven't had the game time.

The thing with Karius is he is now always going to be associated with them mistakes in such a massive game, he's half a mistake away from the crowd turning on him, Lovren did look like he might be done at Liverpool after that horror game away at Spurs but he bounced back.

But can't see the same for Karius, the first goal is just too gib a mistake in such a big game, the second one happens to the best of keepers at times, but the first one!

posted on 29/5/18

The first one is made ultimately worse by the fact that he did the same thing in the second leg against city. He’s not learned to simply stay calm and hold on to the facking ball.

We sell Salah then this window is pointless then

We will get rid of Sturridge, Ings, Origi, Mig, Grujic and make £40m out of it minimum.

posted on 29/5/18

i think grujic might have another loan to a prem team

Fekir isn't a midfielder.

Plays a 9 and half role, similar to Firmino.

they changed his role this season, he played in midfield (albeit the most advanced)

Compare the position between last season and this season.

That's exactly what we need in attack. Can he play wide also?

To be fair Klopp is good at moulding a player to a position so I hope if we get Fekir it's to play in the front 3.

posted on 29/5/18

That shows him playing as a 10 v Everton, I watched both games he was the furthest forward im sure.

He's played RW but can't say i've ever seen him out there.

He reminds me of that boy Taarabt in ability without the rest of the rubbish that came with him. Genuinely think he'll be a treat to watch if you can get him.

I also happen to think we'll get back to the CL final before long.

The group stage can be challenging but most English clubs should be expected to qualify from it.

The we have the two legged ties and I'd always back us with the Anfield factor.

It seems so far at the moment having gotten so close but keep the faith lads.
