Well I'm glad someone has been enjoying our slump. That said, in a hypothetical scenario, I'd say if we lost to the USA it would be worse than our current run of 5 test defeats.

Defeat is clearly easier for some to accept than others. I feel your pain Demus. God knows, I've had plenty of practice in the left 20 years.

Welcome to my world mate.

Ireland are the only serious nation on the planet to take on the All Blacks at this level.

So at the end of the day what had been learned?

From a Scottish perspective, quite a bit actually. Players sent to show us their moves showed us some moves. Young Horne and Hastings are resilient enough to bounce back from last week and good enough to do what they did last night. Bradbury has put his troubles behind him and gives another option in the back row. Stuie Hogg is best left without the extra burden of captaincy.

One caution though. Lets not get carried away, Argentina were dire.

Great performance by Ireland, best of the summer, but steady the buffs mate, you played Australia, not NZ.

dnt know if their on the same side of the draw but nz and Ireland look the teams best set going into wc year, a lot might change though with the autumn tours and six nations next year

nz-always up there, will be big favourites going in, not as strong in the loose forwards area which imo is their one weakness

ire-probably the team best equipped to challenge nz, however like nz prior to 2011 have a history of choking big time in the wc, have the pack and creative players to go close

eng-after looking mighty strong for a few year the wheels kind of fell off this year, will they have enough time to sort the team out for the wc?

wales-always a threat against anyone but depth will cost them imo, very good 1st 15 and again a match for most

Scotland-shocking loss to the usa aside were building nicely, six nations games away from home will tell a tale as they have been pretty shocking away from home recently

Australia-very up and down, great firepower but have a pack that can be over run, probably will go deep at the wc because that's generally what they do

sa-great start for new coach, have blooded a lot of new players in, again maybe a bit early for them, harsh to judge a team on one player but need Malcolm marx to be fit if they are to have any type of chance

argentina- weird team, the club side which is basically the national side have played well and improved immensely this year(making the playoffs for the 1st time)however the national team which should have the advantage of the players all playing with each other week in week out have been pretty shocking, who knows what team shows up at the wc
