Watching Europa football played by Danny Drinkwater in a stadium the size of Sheffield Wednesday's being managed by a guy who hates you whilst the reason for your existance decides whether you live or die.

I remember when their stadium was bigger than ours.

A bit desperate from you Ron. Not that you aren’t always by the way

Typical deflection rather than take his point head on, i didn't make the point just enjoyed it's execution

Not really that fussed tbh. Don’t get me wrong he’s a decent enough, but not as good as he thinks he is. If Sarri comes in, then Allison would be a better fit to his style of play.

well i did say he would have to sell after the visa fiasco

he has now become an Israeli citizen overnight.

goodbye Hazzard and Thibault? and future ambitions?

now reduced to a holding operation, at the mercy of events

You’d be lucky to get rid of them for free m8. Most pl clubs have widen up

Plus we’ll be jibbing off Mig, Flanagan, Sturridge and Ings which will probably get us about £80mil in sales

Doesn’t this just mean they’ll invest more in the team?

Yup

Don't say that to this lot though it'll break their little hearts.

Alisson is unlikely to sign for Chelsea with CL options available.

As for 80m for Mignolet, Flanagan, Sturridge and Ings

5m tops for Mignolet.
5m tops for woman beating PR disaster Flanagan
Be lucky to get anyone to pay for Sturridge as he's never fit. 10m if someone is desperate.
Ings you might get decent money for. 15-20m.

Be doing well to take 40m never mind 80m.

Chelsea's last few signings have been Bakayoko, Drinkwater & Giroud. They will also sell Courtois. It's clear Roman has lost interest in building anymore squads for Chelsea.

Yeah they’ve spent badly. But shelving plans for the stadium would suggest to me the club would just make better use of their vast resources on the team. Chelsea don’t get huge cash injections from Roman now like ten years ago.

Roman obviously doesn’t want to fund the club to excess like before hence why the stadium is being put off.

I may be wrong, but this news suggests to me we’re more likely to see Chelsea going even bigger in the transfer market than they already do.

I would suggest the build could easily end up back on, Roman is putting pressure on the government etc because they are doing that to him.

All it will take is a dodgy deal behind the scenes, he's free to move his money and the economy gets a boost. Politics.

I’d imagine the imminent sale of Wembley has had a lot to do with this decision also.

You're conveniently forgetting Morata which was our record transfer in the club's history.

It's not a question of whether it worked well. Your insinuation was that there is no more spending on players and I reminded you about our all time record transfer last summer who you conveniently omitted.

To be fair, Abramovich had one last go at it. Saw his money being spent so badly, no wonder he has decided to give up.
