Like I said you can have all the money in the world but it's not easy finding players like Kompany, David Silva n Aguero.
City's time in the sun is now it can't be denied and to be honest I'm actually shocked they've only won 2 since 2012 such has their advantage been in the transfer market. 2 in last 6 is by no means poor though obviously but I think quite a few predicted domination before now.
Yeah City have underachieved since their takeover but they now look like finally dominating in England and potentially making a fist of it in Europe.
Dont understand the Mahrez one to be fair but they dont mess around. Helps when you have an Open cheque book i suppose.

You’ve spent the lions share of £1bn since Ferguson fecked off
That’s a fairly open cheque book, admitttedly squandered on utter shiite but hey ho
Sane 50m
Laporte 55m

Gundogan 18m
Ederson 35m
Walker 55m
Bernardo Silva 43m
Total 286m
Lukaku 75m
Pogba 90m
Martial 56m
Bailly 30m
Lindelof 30m
Total 281m.
Just a question of how wisely you spend it ?

Even without a sugar daddy, we have the money to compete with City but clearly don’t have the long term plan City do. Moan all you like about their owners but they’re doing a brilliant job.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, they are run far better than United. Which is a huge shame, 15 years ago you wouldn’t have thought it would’ve come to this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolute bollox
United are ran better than any club in world football. We make an absolute fortune and far more than any other football club in England and more than anyone else in the world
The only thing not ran well is the decisions in terms of choice of managers and players. However the players have generally been the managers choice
Walker is £50m including add ons I believe, £45m without, so the amounts are identical which is scary if you are United. That also doesn't account for any signing on or agent fees for Sanchez.

Martial was 36m with add ons.
Plus a fair few players were missed off the list
The only thing not ran well is the decisions in terms of choice of managers and players.
That is what I was alluding to, and what a football club is actually about. Who cares if we make money from feathered pillow sponsors if we aren’t investing it properly? That for me means City are run better than United.

If we are talking just about football terms which I agree is mist important then yes they are ran better however that is down to players and manager
Overall in terms of a business sense they aren't on the same planet. We are a fantastically ran club but the problem is many of the people running our club seem to be better businessmen than actual football men

The football side is better run... They've been planning and building this current spell for years... We're a mess in comparison
But being well run financially means f-ck all if you have very little idea of long terms plans concerning the team and how it plays. City can’t compete with us financially because we are a bigger brand which has happened over decades, that’s not about being better run now.
Modern football, the quality of a well run club is based on how many sponsorships they make instead of actually succeeding in the sport itself.

Have you seen City’s revenues? The fact they aren’t even that far behind us there shows how well run they’ve been given the comparative size and brands of the clubs.
Combine that with football terms, which is the most important thing when talking about football clubs, then it’s quite clear they are a better run club than us.

We are behind in football terms simply for two reasons
Pep Guardiola
Jose Mourinho
It’s not simply about the manager though. City took years of planning getting Pep in, they’ve also tried to have some sort of stability in the type of signings unlike ourselves. In today’s game a DoF seems like something the club could benefit from greatly, it enables the club to have a greater long term plan and not be overly worried if a manager leaves as the desires of the club and the style of play and potential transfers are the same.
We also joke about Woodward and that’s because what he seems to want with the club and how to we move forward. It isn’t just about the manager.
