I've seen his name thrown about at various PL clubs because of an apparent £12m clause in his contract? I saw an article on the Spurs board yesterday saying something similar about these rumours.

He's got talent and I do think he's a good player. But he doesn't do the off the ball work enough for me. Certainly would make good back up and would be a good squad player for sure, but as Charlie Adam has said in a recent interview about some players not having the commitment for Stoke, I think he might be one of these players. The "too big for his boots" type because he's played at the likes of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan before.

Our top journos have said he's an option being considered.

Can't say I want him but I suppose for £12m it's a low risk signing and if klopp can make him more consistent then it could be a bargain.

Has good ability. A decent squad option imo, although I've always thought he looks a bit portly and needs to shed a few pounds.

i think you're above his level. doubt he would play much if there were no injuries. probably a pay rise, but would think there are other pl teams that would actually play him as first choice.

Decent player, as many assists as Mane and 2 less goals in a crap team last season.

£12m is nothing in today's market, we need cover for the front 3 (I'd say we need 2 wide players) and if we are signing Fekir we won't spend much more this window.

Didn't BR want/try to sign him before he went to Stoke? He makes himself busy, no question, but if he signed it would be on the understanding that he would be a reserve for the front three.

Stoke will want to offload him now they are relegated. I agree with the comment on Wilson, above.

Don't watch him enough to comment really - I just remember my Bayern-supporting mates not being bothered when he left and I imagine he would have a similar role at Liverpool (i.e., off the bench rather than starting)

5 years ago i'd have said yes. We've moved on. Let's not sign players for the sake of it just because they are cheap. Harry Wilson needs to be phased in next season.

Would be happy with Wilson getting game time instead, agree with that - that said, we have been fortunate this season with injuries to the front line. Any injury will be quite destabilising, and relying on a youth player is always a bit risky.

Solanke and Robertson this season sort of illustrate that

Our front 3 will be at the World Cup. Less time in pre season and more susceptible to tiredness and injuries as a result. We do need to have adequate cover.

It is most likely agent thinking about a month to 6 weeks time when he has to do some deal somewhere.

the players name is now out there. the agent hopes the player will be brillinat in world cup and there will be a queue for him at 12mil.

simple.. got the name and fee out there now and everyone knows he is available.

Personally I would MUCH rather see wilson try to impress klopp in the first month of preseason than buy this guy. Its only friendlies but tactically it should tell klopp if the lad has a hope of making it.

I agree we need cover but for me Shaq isn't the guy
