TLOU 2

I enjoyed the gameplay - though I will take it with a grain of salt as it looked too fluid, hope I'm wrong though. Loved seeing all the naughyy dog touches and very brutal. The only thing we seem to be missing is a story - as all we have seen is a lot of brutality Vs humans. But anyhow good times ahead.

I don't think we are missing a story Simon, we are missing the story.

You can almost see the conflict within Ellie, also when her old man was mentioned, she seemed a little distant.

Could be way off, but I trust Naughty dog to come up with something special for this game.

so why are hanging up the controller Amiga? getting too old, gaming is a young mans game I spose

Yes Tino, when you find yourself spending more time in the gardening than playing games, you know your getting old.

Still God of War was fun, and I Detroit was right up my alley, Looking forward to TLOU 2, and VR still has my interest.

So not out for the count just yet.

Oh I got my electric car

Which car did you go with? Nissan have offered me a very good deal on the leaf

Bought a Leaf Tekna, Wife loves it, she wont go back to and ICE now.

I have let a few people drive it, and they are surprised, it's amazing how little people know about Ev's.

posted on 13/6/18

Oh it's a 24kw Leaf, but it's plenty for my wifes needs.

posted on 13/6/18

I'll book a test drive and see. All depends on the range on a full charge otherwise wolves to my chalet in Aberystwyth will be tricky

My gaming days are coming to an end, but I want this.

That bit is so eerie where they just come out from the dark!

What I learnt on grounded after dying 3,001,364 times was just to run straight away to the door after you've pulled the cord lol

sadly the electric cars are not where I need them to be yet. Not enough range and too long to charge at the moment.

I do a lot of fishing and a lot of my lochs are 60+ miles away and charge times take far too long for my liking so just not practical enough yet.

posted on 13/6/18

To be fair Stevie it depends how you are charging and what car you own.

People have some strange ideas about EV's, charging times are one of them.

posted on 13/6/18

Until the charge times rival that of fuel then it will be hard for me Amiga.

Im pretty heavy with that right foot also which wont help matters but round trips for my fishing at the weekends (and the mrs hillwalking) can be easily 140+ miles all in. if they can get the charge times sorry WHEN they get the charge times down to around 10/15 mins or when the range is up to 300/400 or so miles then I will be onboard. But as you can imagine up north in scotland amongst the hills and lochs there aint many charge points !! A few years yet for me sadly.

How do electric cars fare when it comes to towing Amiga? How much torque do you get out the Leaf?

posted on 13/6/18

Loads of torque, but I don't think they are recommended for towing, maybe some if the models coming out soon would be suitable.

The only thing I would say is don't think of an EV the same as you would an ICE car. My Leaf only has about 80 miles of range, but suits our needs, we have never drove enough to empty it, and when we wake up in the morning it is full again.

There are cars that will do 300-350 miles (Tesla) and charging is about 30 mins at a fast charger, but admitedely Scotland might make it a little trickier.

I would say test drive one if you can, you will be surprised.

I have driven the Leaf, a guy up the yard where my mrs has her horse has one, he loves it but he still kept his estate car as it is a 4x4.

Quite perky of the mark but lacks top speed (I have a Focus ST) and to be fair in the low revs and off the mark the Leaf wasnt that far off. Drive them like I do though and you get nowhere near the 80 miles lol !!

I understand thats my driving however. He says its takes him about 7 hours to charge. comfy also but I am very much a petrol head so to start with I will biased in my views and I love hearing my engine going.

I could only settle for one of the tesla's i feel as I like a bit of power and need some refinement! but to get that from a Tesla I would need to look at the tesla s and for anything under 20k miles then you are looking at 50k plus still, which IMO is just way too high in price.

Give it a few years though and there will be almost no argument against them i reckon

posted on 13/6/18

Nissan have said that if I take the leaf. That I can use one of their petrol cars for two weeks a year free of charge

posted on 13/6/18

What size battery Leaf Tino? and how many miles a day do you do?

posted on 13/6/18

Not sure on battery size. I can't switch till December. And about 25 a day

posted on 13/6/18

Well the 24kw Leaf will do that easily, my wife does about 50 miles a day with no problem.

There is also a grant for a free charging station for your home, I went to podpoint.

posted on 13/6/18

Yea I saw they'll come install one which is useful

Death Stranding for me. Among the generic games this gametrailer was a breath of fresh air. Kojima will look to innovate gaming once again.
