As pay rises at an incredible rate, won't every new manager at pretty much every club be the "Highest paid manager" in that clubs history?

dunno could you say that about transfers too? as the years have gone by..
we probably paid venebales and oleary pretty well even 15 years ago.
Not over the line yet is it? At least I can find nothing to confirm it.
Not yet but the betting indicates a one horse race.
Not sure I'd put money on that with our club, would fall in the final furlong and end up getting shot.

phil saying its on the brink mate
What’s Spanish for give us a wave? 😳😳
Where you got this from
Not twitter, where they also said he was getting paid 160k at Lille ???
Not a chance in hell he was being paid that at Lille
Interesting big Sam was on the radio yesterday, and he said what newspapers and social media report on wages, is way out
just phils article this morning mate.
''Leeds and Bielsa are in the last throes of discussions over his mooted appointment and look increasingly likely to shake hands on a deal which would make Bielsa the highest-paid boss in the Yorkshire club’s history.''
Great, he's signed then.......he has signed right Rich?
Given that the negotiations have been going on for a while, I would guess that the 49'ers are involved in some way at the table, and are prepared to step in with funds, if certain conditions are met. Their franchise is worth US$3 billion so in relative terms, putting money into LUFC is a relatively small punt with potentially huge rewards. What other reasons can there be for the delay?

where did i say that?
Venables must have been on a fair wack, we were paying players 30-40k a week 15 years ago.
The thing with Bielsa, what has he actually done in the last 10+ years to demand such huge money?
He's won nothing.
Jonty, not yet, last throes means nothing as far as I am concerned. We have been on the verge for days now. Phil hasn't got anything else to write about.

interesting to know what TV was on
lets be honest all the managers since we been down in this division would of walked over broken glass to be manager here and prob havent been paid an awful lot.
Harrogate
Am excited but not sure why
He can’t English, ignore the idiots, it’s a huge disadvantage.
And hasn’t been able to keep a job for years.
You owned a business, and a guy came for a job, who couldn’t speak the lingo and cv had more holes than a golf course, you’d tell him to fook off.
Rad has zero knowledge about football, not sure he’d be able to tell you off side rule. Which is fine, as long as he’s getting advice from the right people
Best make sure my credit card is clear for when we are back in Europe in 2 years.
Bring on Bielsa football.
I am in two minds about this, agree with Harrogate, could end up paying silly money for someone who is yesterdays news.
On the other, I think he is unlikely to sign unless he has a say on who comes in to the club. Neither TC nor the Heck appear to have had much of a say over transfers in. This guy is unlikely to take any of Orta's nonsense.
his backroom team gonna be interesting.
rumours of 4 of them ive seen, two are fluent in english.
agreed its a big disadvantage the language.
cant be bothered to find loads of examples as poch comes to mind instantly with the language issue.
he couldnt speak a word when he came here, did well first season southampton and not done bad since.
Rich
A few grand a week probably most of them and all got a nice pay off for being sacked, but it'll be a huge amount more than any manager in the last 15 years, the question is - is he worth it?
It's 50/50 for me. Looking at his track record it we shouldn't touch him with a barge pole. But still a bit exciting tbh.
There are obstacles for sure but I'm proper excited, this could be something else.
Its a massive appointment for the Championship and even on the endorsements from ex players etc. it's getting me giddy.
One thing is for sure we will be playing football the right way. Lets just hope it pays off.
