Tyldesley does have great difficulty keeping his bias under control, luckily Rooney has retired. His "Rooooooooney" over the top voice every time he touched the ball was irritating.

Alex Scott wins it for BBC

I'll always go with BBC because of the lack of ads. In terms of the pundits I suppose it's fairly even. Aluko doesn't add anything to ITV and does feel like it's meeting a quota but they've got Gary Neville whereas BBC have got Phil.

I’m not a fuddy-duddy but I’m fed up to the back teeth of all this casual open-necked slovenly dress amongst them. They remind me of scruffs you see in the street. They’re supposed to be ambassadors and look smart.

It’s never-ending. Get off my blasted telly.

Poo-Gash reminds me of that thundercunt Jeremy Kyle. His look, his voice aren't dissimilar which I find incredibly irritating.

Hoddle was a great player, but also an enormous ponce. As a pundit he's a cliché ridden bore.

To liven up proceedings Poo-Gash should DNA test Hoddle live on air and highlight any genetic defaults, so his God can punish him in his next life.

Used to like Dixon but his constant digs at Vardy when he plays for England are ridiculous.

Hoddle has a vey high football IQ and you pick up on that at times when he's talking about tactics etc. but his overall personality doesn't make him a great pundit.

I like Jenas too, talks a lot of sense and talks honestly and passionately - he's the closest thing terrestrial TV has to a more modern 'GNev' type pundit. Biggest drawback for the Beeb is they still have not sacked Lawro. He was atrocious way back in 2010 and should've been binned off then, how he's still getting a gig - facking freebie WC jolly, travel & expenses all out of licence payers pockets, makes me sick.

Yep completely agree with this.

The least these pundits can do for the money they get is buy a tie. Completely agree

Lawro was unbearable today. How is he still making a living from our licence fees

Agree. Lawro was horrific. Phil Neville had a total meltdown as well when trying to explain why he doesn’t like var. fortunately for him the bbc experienced technical issues and most of it was missed

They are all useless. I only watch the game with the sound down. I hate all the pundits waffling on, before and after matches.

Hoddle is awful, he just waffles on about formations. Football is not a game of chess. One of my heroes as a player, but absolutely diabolical as a commentator. So boring.

Just seen the BBC's intro for the first time. Not one of their best. Looks like the sort of cheesy intro you'd see to a country at Eurovision. Prefer ITV's Swan Lake themed attempt.

I've always been a fan of BBC over ITV myself. I do wish some of the BBC co-commentators/pundits wouldn't be so negative though. Things like complaining about a match being dull (even when it is but I don't want the pundits to whinge about it) and picking on a player that they don't like for whatever reason. Lawrenson and Murphy are really bad for this and I just find it both unprofessional and miserable.

....Women should present, summarise and commentate on womens football and the same applies to men.

Wow, I really hope this nonsense is a minority opinion.

ITV purely to see how long Roy Keane can sit and seeth. Watch it without sound and add your own what’s he thinking thoughts. It’s more interesting than some of the football. The look he gave Bilic when he touches his elbow - I wouldn’t be sleeping if I was Bilic
