He had a goalie from 12 yards out to beat and failed.No excuses for a below average performance

where I'd start my #1 & #2 rankings.

Had the keeper gone the other way (guessed) wrong it would have been a fine penalty. His performance was bloody poor overall, no excusing that, but his game and circumstance was completely different to Ronaldo's and should be compared too much.

You do know before last night Ronaldo had scored just 3 goals in 3 world cups ??

Last night he played in an open game, against players he plays against every week, and against a team who plays expansive. That game was a home from home.

Messi was triple teamed by giants today and still had moments . His penalty miss is not an issue, if it is then Baggio to was a failure.

I agree, they are an example of the games best. We should just enjoy them both. However, in this day and age, we have less players

Both are great players but I musta have been watching a different game from the commentators and loads of the Internet.

Cause I’ve read and heard so many people saying it was one of the greatest ever performances at a World Cup.

And it just wasn’t, he played well and getting a Garrick is always an achievement.

But, his first goal was a penelty, his secret nd the keeper went all Fenix and should have saved it easily.

Third was a cracking free kick but that alone was not enough to make a good game for him the best ever...
