He was anonymous because the service to him was abysmal, when he got the service he scored the goals. That`s what makes him truly world class.

Rather have that than the dross we used to get from the White Pele

He's a striker. He is there to finish chances. He isn't like Ronaldo.

I see him more in the Ruud Van Nistelrooy mold than Henry.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I whole heartedly agree Sandy.

Was getting no service mostly because Sterling kept losing the ball, and when that wasn't happening he was being put down with wrestling moves that Andre the facking Giant would've been proud of. Two chances, two goals, bang bang. He's one of our own.

Yeah, one of our own, English.

Spurs fans, it's a genuine compliment about a player who can make something from no support or service whatsoever, for God's sake calm down

Should have had about 3 pens too, constantly fouled in the box, ref was a disgrace

It was nice to see FOOTBALL won in the end, the saying goes Cheats never prosper.

Poor defending from Tunisia. Its like they didn't do their homework on him.

The first positive thing Kane did was shoot from outside the box which got the corner for first goal. Need more players to be positive like Kane and Rashford are.

To be fair - if he does nothing all tournament and ends up with 6 or 7 goals, then I'll be happy. More worried about Maguire, Young, Henderson, Dele and Lingard. No controlled possession - everything slow and tedious - misplaced passes - long overhit balls - no running at the defence - no crosses into the box. People are waxing lyrical but we were absolute pants BUT we won, thank God!!!

If had any of the chances Lingard or Sterling had tonight then we'd have won that before half time.

With kane we have a real shout at going far, he is a difference maker. 1 chance 1 goal, really isnt many of those in world football.

Harry can go shank the ballgirls half the match, as long as he's back to knock in a goal or two. We don't need him to be a Rooney type, I like his style as is..

The others get chances due to their movement and positioning. If Kane is not in those positions, he will not get those chances. It works both ways.

England were not as bad as some of the other top sides that have played so far.

Great ability to be in the right place at the right time. Good finish for both goals. Keep him in the box and he will put chances away.

A good striker is one that scores goals. Lineker, Shearer, Owen at his peak - these players just had a knack of being in the right place at the right time. You cannot knock Kane's scoring record.

That's what he's there for.

Even in few Spurs game, Harry went missing until the last minute when he popped up and scored winners

Service to him wasn’t great, shame he didn’t get all those chances that Lingard somehow missed.

Don’t be critical of the MF for being negative.

We are no great shakes but with Kane grabbing goals and Southgate deserving praise for gelling a team together we could go a lot further than expected.

It's just as well those Kane chances fell to him and not Sterling or Messi Lingard else we'd have still been searching for a goal.
