Tbf, Di Matteo's track record is just as bad and we know what happened with him

A lot of thrash manager's actually make excellent coaches/assistants, Paul Clement and Steve Holland for example.

I think pairing him with Sarri is quite smart personally, makes alot more sense than the rumored partnership with Ancelotti in 2010.

With the assistant you're looking for the counter voice, someone who shares the same thought process but delivers it to the players in a different tone. On the surface Zola does appear to be a good yin to Sarri's yang

I fully expect Martial, Golovin/Seri and Leon Bailey to be in the starting line up, There's been strong links with Rugani of Juventus but I honestly haven't seen much of the geezer.

Hopefully Pedro, Drinkwater and Cahill are off.
