Greenwood might be a bit further down the line, but he has looked absolutely unplayable on the right at times.

We've got two potentially superb options there. One right-footed and one left-footed. If we can hang on to both and they continue the trajectories of their development, we'll be sitting very pretty.

Really looking forward to seeing Chong play against some decent fullbacks over the next couple of seasons.

I thought Darmian was pictured having a medical in Turn a few weeks back?

It appears that Juve are still interested.

Maybe we are sniffing around Sandro and one way or another that is slowing up any progress with a deal for Darmian?

What does this say about our squad, most of our attackers and midfielders are good enough for their national teams but most of our defenders are not?

I know a few of those nations haven't qualified but that list is significantly larger, bearing in mind you usually play the same number of defenders and midfielders in a game. Could do with a few upgrades perhaps....

Interesting omission. Maybe an oversight though of course. Or possibly he has some lingering injury we don't know about.

However i wouldn't be shocked if he left this summer. His game time is only going to get worse anyway if we sign Willian or somebody of that stature. He's a tremendous footballer but his physical attributes are just not up to it anymore. He's too slow and far too weak.

Don't think you guys read what i said, i knowledge that fact already.

For age, there are plenty of 19/20 years at the world cup, Rashford being an example so that doesnt automatically excuse Dalot and Tuanzebe, if yoru good enough you will go. Martial and herrera can be excused given the number of quality players for their respective countries. Cant give that excuse to smalling and shaw as much, yes there are a few reasons in general but still points to an issue in quality across the whole back line in comparison to other areas.

Yeh, I don't know how I missed him. Hopeful that the lad will have a chance to make an impact this season. Jose wanted him to return mid-season, so he must rate him at some level. Will be interesting to see where he deploys him.
