My old man went to the USSR on a school trip and did Moscow and Leningrad with a sleeper train between the two.
My plan is to do the same trip in 2022.

Ask for a proper Russian drink, like Samagon. Will put hair on your chest and then disentigrate it. Tastes a lot better than Vodka too.

It is the governments that you have to watch out for, especially in places like Russia, China etc.
