Break for Dimitri, and for the first time there is a 2 leg gap.

Dimitri misses a double for 4 legs in a row. Ando takes tops, 8-10 DvdB

DvdB takes a 4 leg lead into the next break.

Dimitri on fire. 124 finish on the bull with Ando on 54 for the break.

Another bull finish and DvdB is 14-8 up.

3 legs away for DvdB.

180 for Ando - his first

Tops for DvdB and it is 17-10. One away for the Belgium camp lad.

GAME SHOT AND THE MATCH!!!

Dimitri van den Bergh is the Matchplay champion!!

18-10.

DvdB played very well, but Ando was very under par.

Arguably the key moment was Ando breaking with a 130 checkout but then DvdB broke straight back with a 170.

one of the poorest finals I've seen

Ando will be as surprised as anyone he got to the final, Smith will be kicking himself, he's missed out on a major, he'd of taken care of DvDB in the final

Premier League is back tonight - and every night up to and including Sunday.

After the first 3 nights the player at the bottom will drop out.

Current standings:
Durrant - 9pts
MvG - 8pts
Smith - 7pts
Aspinall - 7pts
------------------------------
Wright - 7pts
Anderson - 6pts
Price - 5pts
Cross - 5pts
--------------------------
Gurney - 2pts

Big 3 nights for Gurney.

Ando smashes Smith 7-3.

MvG smashes Cross 7-2
Aspinall-Price was a bit closer, the Asp winning 7-4

posted on 25/8/20

Those results mean Cross and Price are still within the grasp of Gurney, if he can beat challenger Dobey now he is back in the mix.

7-2 win for Gurney.

Good to have the darts back!

Prefer PL when it is played over consecutive nights.
Big match for Price here.

And he played like it.
7-1 demolition of Anderson. Will take a lot for him to be eliminated tomorrow night now.

Gurney wins 7-5.
Takes him off the bottom, denies Asp the chance of top spot.

Pressure on Rob Cross

posted on 26/8/20

Tbf, pressure is also on Michael Smith - who can either go 3rd or one place above elimination after this (or a draw makes him nearly safe.)

Offfttt, "boring" Durrant gives MvG a kicking, 7-3, and goes clear at the top of the table.

So, standings ahead of "Judgement Night"

1 - Durrant - 12pts
2 - MvG - 10pts
3 - Wright - 10pts
4 - Smith - 9pts
--------------------------------------
5 - Aspinall - 9pts
6 - Anderson - 8pts
7 - Price - 7pts
8 - Gurney - 6pts
==========================
9 - Cross - 5pts

Top v Bottom is the big game tonight. Price faces challenger Wattimena needing a point to continue. Gurney has Wright.

A big Cross over Rob Cross as he is knocked out, despite Gurney losing.

Another defeat for MvG last night. Suddenly the prospect of him missing finals night is up for question.

Durrant, who beat Cross, is sitting pretty at the top. Wright and Aspinall in 2nd and 3rd.

Durrant just beat Price.

During the game Price said something and the commentary team remarked that it was just about under his breath (I didn't hear what it was) there was no elbow tap after the match and you could tell that they aren't the best of friends.

The camera stayed on them as they left the stage and Durrant clearly went into the interview area yet after the advert break they didn't show their usual chat with the winner.

I'm guessing Sky elected not to show what he had to say about Price?

You're the man ITK Dj, heard anything?
