In all fairness who plays for Brazil is a combination of rancid politics and who someone important's wife wants in the side
it's rarely football driven
Who cares
Firmino couldnt get in ahead of the overrated and awaful in this tournament Jesus
Costa couldn't get in ahead of Willian

Exactly. Fabinho would surely have been a better RB option than some 29 year old who still plays in Brazil also
He got injured just before the tournament kicked off, he’s only been on the bench for 2 games...

Id take Jesus over Firmino too tbh.
Agree, Costa should have had more game time, but Willian is a very good player.
Thought they were much better in the second half when either Jesus or Costa were on the wing. Helped that Belgium retreated so deep though, they could just turn and run at will.
Coutinho had an off game apart from the the chip in for the goal.
It was bizarre the way Jesus kept getting picked over Firmino.
Brazil seem to pick players based on the clubs they play for, Paulinho is a perfect example of that.

This isn't true at all. Otherwise why would so many players playing in Brazil get call ups? Why would Miranda start ahead of Marquinhos? Renato Augusto plays in China I believe.

Its not really if you watched any of them over the last couple of years. It's mainly for the benefit of Neymar.

Both Neymar and Coutinho looked better everytime Firmino came on.
Wouldn’t Neymar benefit more from Firmino than Jesus though? From what I’ve seen of both domestically Firmino is more productive at bringing in other into attacks.

Miranda plays for Inter and has been a regular for the national team for quite a few years, I’d imagine his experience is getting him ahead of Marquinhos. Augusto doesn’t start for Brazil.
There really isn’t a strong case for Paulinho starting for Brazil, apart from his first couple months for Barca he’s been average to poor while his form for Brazil is good but there are clearly better players.
Paulinho is facking bobbins.
No fancy haircut can hide the fact he is a poor man's Gareth Barry
Fred will be your best signing since RVP

Renato played a lot of football in qualifying, I think. Surely Miranda being picked for his experience is counter to your point, because if it was purely based off the size of the club then Marquinhos (PSG) would be picked ahead of him.
This argument is like someone saying Icardi is poor as he cannot get into Argentine national team or Sane not getting into German national team or Zola not playing for Italy or Matt Le Tissier being poor for not playing much for English national team.Total nonsense!
Jonjo Shelvey couldn't get into the England squad.....oh wait!
I bet they wished they hadn't pi$$ed off Diego Costa now?
Yes I agree on that blueinbarca.

Not really for Brazil. It’s also the work rate at the front that Tito likes.
Personally, I would have played both of them, thought Brazil looked best throughout when they were both on the pitch.
