I'll defend Stones. I think in the final 10 minutes of ET switching off briefly is fine - considering the amount of aerial duals he won all game (6). He is allowed to slightly misread one, the fault was with the tactics/performance not with a tired Stones switching off briefly after a 60 minute onslaught.

Switching off briefly in that situation is never fine. He wasn't even looking at the ball just before the Croatia player headed it meaning that he had no chance to anticipate anything.

Lovren is like Jones, plays well but there's always a mistake in him. And when it happens, it's always costly. You cannot be considered world class if there is a mistake always in you. And they are at the age they shouldn't be making these kind of mistakes.

People will know im not his biggest fan, but credit where its due he was solid in the CL final and after bit of a shaky start in the first half where he could have had a yellow, he was outstanding after HT, won everything. Hes in another massive final :/.
Neville blasted him at HT too then he came out looking like a prime Nesta ffs.
Probably been said but he has reached the CL and WC finals in one season
