Ross is right in that we don't play with wingers, right or left. Our full backs are the ones who need to. Provide width. If they do that, there would be no need for a RW. We're unbalanced there as Valencia doesn't take up space a WB would when they get forward nor provide crosses.
If we aren't going to sort out the FBs then we need a RW and not a RWF.

We. Do. Not. Play. With. A. Right. Winger.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here, people. How many times do I have to say it.
Jose hasn't played with a RW for a 100 game tenure with United. Why do they think he's going to start doing so now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he’s said he would like to bring in Willian.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
...and because for 100 games we haven't offered any threat down the right and as a result we are easy to defend against. Unless we are going to buy Trippier, we need to focus on RW as a priority. The side is unbalanced.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My point is that that would require a change in approach, not just personnel.
I don't believe we'd see Willian play as an out and out right winger or right sided forward if he came in.
Evidence would suggest he'd play as an inside right, close to a number ten or right sided number eight like Mata, Lingard and everyone else we play in the nominal right sided role.
Maybe our business is done

Of course Valencia takes up winger / wing back positions.
