It remains to be seen if they can challenge. They’ve spent world records on a GK and CB but both have a lot to do to prove they are amongst the PL’s best let alone the world.

They may well challenge and are best equipped for a while but time will tell

Do you think youll change your mind like you have with Spurs Sandy?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs will offer more of a challenge to City than Liverpool. Every season we hear the same from Liverpool, this season will be our year. Every season it ends in failure and behind Spurs. Next season will be no different. Klopp trying to buy trophies, not got it in him to win anything without spunking zillions, and still cannot win a thing.

sandy you're a know nothing with your predictions.
your hatred for certain teams clouds your judgement.
you didn't pick france one game in the world cup, how did that work out?
every season spurs finish ahead of pool? i thought you were an old fart but i guess your memory has gone too.
liverpool to easily finish ahead of spurs imho.

People seem to write Spurs off every summer and they come back to prove them wrong, it’s foolish.

Yes they have made no signings but they have a very good squad already.

Not quite sure how you deduce that considering they have won diddly squat for a decade or so.

Going to be interesting. I see Spurs have nailed down Lamela to another five years. Game changer.

No they don't. They have a great first eleven but even that is getting marginally worse season on season as Levy is an idiot that refuses to spend.

EVERY summer, as well.

Priceless.

I expect the top 4 to remain the same as last season . Probably in the same order too

Think it will be very close with all 6 sides. Or at least closer than last season.

Can’t see Arsenal being a threat unless Aubameyahf has a season like Salah just had.

I fear for Chelsea if Hazard and Courtois leave. Can’t see them getting the same quality replacements.

I reckon Auba is a great bet for top scorer this season.

I’m sure Lukaku will be up there. But Auba is a goal machine and has the likes of Ozil supplying him

Run out of excuses the only thing running is yourself scared of the direction Liverpool are going in..

And people need to really stop embarrassing themselves going on about Klopp and big spending.

1. The transfer market had exploded since the Neymar sale

2. The money he is spending is the money the club has generated mainly through developing players and selling them at massive profits

3. Two European finals in three seasons has also generated huge revenue especially the CL

4. He is not being handed oil money to spend recklessly.

5. To put it into a simple metaphor being handed a 80 grand car by your rich daddy for your birthday is not the same as working had saving up and paying for it yourself. Both situations result in a person owning a 80k car one way is the hard working deserved achievement the other is having money thrown at you. That’s the difference between Klopp’s big spending and that of the likes of Man City and PSG..

You’re missing the point.

1. Irrelevant. He’s broken the world record for a defender and goalkeeper in transfer fees. Clearly he’s spending more on a single player than he said he would.

The other things you say are missing the point.

No one is saying Klopp isn’t doing a good job or isn’t entitled to spend the money.

I think most people just find it a bit funny that when he wasn’t spending or didn’t have the money, he preached about doing it a certain way and told everyone he believed in a certain method, but now he has access to those funds, he’s completely gone against those supposed morals.

Not a big deal, not world changing, just quite funny and the basis for poking fun.

Have people forgotten about ffp?

For several years now the money that City have spent hasn’t been from a handout by the owners. It’s been from money that the club has itself generated.

Through dodgy sponsorships, through the owners!

I knew that would be a comeback. A lazy incorrect comeback.

Nothing dodgy about any of City’s sponsorships. You’re just peddling a lie.
