Derby have a big enough fan base to make it worthwhile to have this live on Rams TV.
I expect any Wanderers who show up will only have come to see Frank such is the pull of the former midfield maestro.

But your all very welcome.

There’s a bit of a buzz about the city and it can be heard whispered in the corners of workplaces the length and breadth of Derbyshire that this team could take the league by storm in the way Wolves did last season. But you didn’t hear it from me.

Rameses, I hope so mate. Mel and Frankhad appear to have lifted us out of last year's rut. I think Gary lost his way a bit 10 or so games out.. I hope Frank can find his and a solid performance here will be a good indicator. Certainly Wolves were by far the best Championship side I saw last season

Derby have finished in the top half of the Championship for 7 years in a row now but never quite look good enough to go up. No surprise if this season turns out the same way

Derby are the bottlejob Spurs of the chumpo ! It will be no different with Fat Frank, he’ll be gone by Xmas

Derby is a big one to take on as a first managerial job, without having done very much coaching before. He will have the respect of the players at first but if they don't have a good start can see him struggling a bit with the pressure.

It may be a tough first job but no matter what club Frank Lampard started at, the priciples he adopts will be the same. He's surrounded himself with a decent set of backroom staff so has as much chance of succeeding as anyone else. The supposedly "tried and tested experienced managers" route hasn't worked, so I applaud Derby for the fresh approach. Hope springs eternal, come on you Rams.

Seems so rare that good footballers go on to be good managers. See if Lampard can be an exception. Notice Gerard got a decent result with Rangers in the Europa League last night

Let's be honest, nobody knows what the future holds. Sometimes things just click, Lampard has certainly given the club a lift. It's the same for managers as it is managers, some fit some don't. I remember Juan Sebastian Veron, who was undoubtedly a great player but did naff all at Man Utd and wasn't overly brilliant at Chelsea.

Same for players* ffs I hate autocorrect 😠

Well I for one hope that Fat Frank is a success and steers the Rams all the way to the promised land. Clubs like DC belong in the top tier and hopefully you will replace that bunch of sheep worrying cloggers from Cardiff next season

That’s the starting 11 today and I suspect the team for the first league match won’t be very different

Ta GM, was just typing if anyone had our team news.

Hopefully a good game and a real test for both teams.
