Strike team , what because spurs community says so? No concrete information coming through in regards to this. 8 days to go, not even close to signing anyone. Shambles!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The bookies odds on Zaha to Spurs have dropped dramatically in the last 48 hours.

We always do this every transfer window, and every year the usual suspects kack their pants. The reason we have been consistent CL qualifiers despite a net spend of £15m (that's less than Sunderland BTW) is because of how we play the market.

Grealish is a perfect example, we have turned the lads head without putting an offer in for him. With just over a week to go Villa are in a sell to us as no one else is trying to sign him or take a whack on FFP and the transfer embargo that entails. Levy will get him for a knock down price and be able to afford Zaha aswell, giving Poch what he wanted.

The usual moaners will moan that it should have been done weeks earlier so the players can get to know their team mates etc, even though most our Squad doesn't even come back to training until Monday.

In other words a ton of Spurs fans have stuck money on Zaha joining, forcing the bookies to shorten the odds, much like they do with Liverpool's chances of winning the league

And you've basically said that Spurs have tapped up Grealish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You forgot that the media are running with this Zaha story now, there are legs to it.

Grealish wasn't tapped up, we were given permission to speak to him earlier in the summer by all accounts, but we then went and low balled Villa afterwards because of their financial situation. Levy does unfortunately have form for this.

That article literally proves nothing and is just speculation for why they were late with their accounts

They still made a profit in 16/17 in which the accounts are based and that was despite spending over £100M on player transfers
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It proves they couldn't pay their accounts on time, it coincides with them spending sweet Phannie Adams this transfer window and it coincides with them considering a sale of Zaha as reported tonight.

It's like paint by fecking numbers chatting with you.

They couldn’t pay their accounts on time?? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

You haven’t a clue what you are talking about. You realise there is no evidence whatsoever that they were unable to pay any debt or player wages like you said. They are a limited company and by law are required to post their accounts every year - they were late posting theirs, which is illegal. That’s what the fuss is about. How you even got to the conclusion that they are financially crippled and unable to pay their bills I really don’t know.

I suggest you watch this and educate yourself before you go into the office and embarrass yourself with your theories

Look their CRO (07270793) up on duedil and you will see they are in a very healthy financial position. Their net assets have risen almost 100% and their turnover 40% to go with a £19M profit for 16/17 despite spending £65M net on player transfers.

You literally haven’t a clue what you are talking about so take your L and move on

It was Poch who wanted business done early.

For once.

I've provided the link paint by numbers. Go and educate yourself by reading what people like David Conn have said about the situation - it is extremely unusual.

Why do you think they've spent no money with no obvious drain on resources like a new stadium?

It’s unusual to submit your accounts late but it doesn’t prove anything.

You’ve based everything on what you want to believe, I’ve based my opinions on facts. Go figure

And yet you have presented no facts, just your opinion. Like I said go and educate yourself by reading David Conn

Providing links to the 16/17 tax year is fecking worthless considering they sacked 2 managers last season, that would have drained resources.

Zaha isn't about numbers, it's about what he can do to teams and fans.

He almost always runs at defenders, is a great watch and the numbers will come with time and a good team. He single handedly saved Palace last season.

Whoever gets him will be excited.

Wish I saw this earlier once again you don’t know what you are talking about.

Anyway, what’s going on? Not only could you not bully the financially crippled Crystal Palace, you guys are getting bullied by a championship club.

Both of them have outspent you this window, too
