The game has been tarred. Even with these updates the core mechanics of the game are basic at best.
I've played it a lot.
The game is better but still there isn't much to do really.
But this is what the game should have been at release day, can only imagine what it would be like now, 2 years on, if that were the case.
I'm playing it with two other mates at the moment, and we are enjoying it but as I said, not tonnes to do but it's am improvement and there will be more to come.
I visited a 1 planet solar system last night and the planet was huge and the rings of the planet were beautiful.
Unfortunately the surface is the planet was absolute crap so I had to gather resources on a planet that was 400 degrees Celsius, with aggressive sentinels. It was not fun but posed a challenge I guess.
I might pick up a copy when i can , I bought a few games the other day and will play through them first.
Really good after the updates, I got it for 15 quid

I think that the multiplayer is the reason why I enjoyed it.
As for the agressive sentinels we played with a guy who had only just started and he didn't know that each planet had different sentinel behaviour so he just started complaining the game was broken every time he landed and was attacked by the drones
I have a little gripe in the fact that you have to repair every drop pod to get an inventory upgrade. I couldn't be bothered to go hunting for what is needed and instead warped to another system as they have a free one on each space station
I'd buy it for a tenner just to see what it's like but nothing more. Followed it pre and post release (wasnt taken in by the promises one bit) and what the developer said would be released vs what they delivered should be illegal under trade descriptions.
A good portion of the blame has to go to Sony for bigging it up so much and releasing it as a full price game.
It only took them 2 years but they have now delivered on those promises 😂
