The Left back trial has collapsed.
We'll have to move on to a new trial with somebody else unless we can find a suitable loan to fill the gap.
No jokes about a trial goalkeeper being thrown locker keys and dropping them are all the goalkeepers saving themselves for better offers ?

Remi Matthews 24yr old goalkeeper is from Norwich another one with a beard is there something we are not being told here about facial hair.

What betting it's a left back next as we forget a midfielder as PP seeks a taller striker for his collection.
Have Harry and Dennis been forgotten shouldn't they be off on loan at their age and with their reputations strange we don't hear much about them in the comic.

I won !
It was a left back we got next Jonathan Grounds a young 30yr old

Is Benny not up yet we need a new shopping list.
Did you hear little Lee cursing ALF for not going and releasing his wages earlier while Ken nodded saying look what you could have won.

Ther seems to be an unexpected twist in the ALF saga. The Australian club says that no deal has yet been struck with ALF. Bolton, however, says that he has left the club with immediate effect.

I hope ALF hasn't been shafted. However, it does leave us without a striker when we are trying to secure the services of another front man.

All a bit odd a press release before everything is signed and Pickfords booked.

Think Sydney wanted to see if he could be released before sorting a deal out.

PP increasingly worried about the Beanpole shortage he keeps asking Ken and Lee to check all the shops.

Whatever happens Ken mustn't do what he did in January and leave bolton short of attacking options. Pretty much filled the squad but Alf leaving does leave us short. Another megennis type and a zach clough type and I would call it a day. By the way clough is in limbo at forest no shirt number.

Thursday a quiet one today so why not join Ken in some deep profit vs player thinking now that ALF is off the books.
It's a difficult one how many surplus and naughty corner players do you allow PP to carry.

posted on 16/8/18

Well, it seems it was a decision based on saving ALF's wage bill as he was one of the highest paid members of the team. As Benny says, if Ken doesn't sign two more strikers, we will be in real danger of not having enough cover in that position. We only just scraped through last season so to risk it again would be foolhardy.

Still, where money is concerned, Ken has proved to be very thrifty.

My abacus has broke there's beads all over the floor and I can't add up what the full requirement is.
We need players for
-1st team
- 1st team cover
- Sick bay cover
- Naughty corner
- Doesn't fit in Prof P's system cover
- Plan B* players (*optional)
Have we got enough shirts and money to cover all that lot.

Don't worry it looks as though Ken received more cash from the University of Bolton than he did from Macron.

Is that to be believed?

posted on 16/8/18

Will Ken do an Henry Cooper with it though

posted on 16/8/18

Still not paid to have the macron stadium m61 signs changed yet.

posted on 17/8/18

We best invest in some of them LED signs that we can program it'll work out cheaper in the long run Ken could splash out on some nice solar ones.
Come to think of it we should have a giant screen as the stadium branding sign on the front with changing screens to promote the next match/concert or panto.

PP finds out about the broken abacus and decides to keep Hall back for a bit just in case the sick bay queue increases before Ken and Lee find some extra supplies.

ALF signed as soon as he touched down. Our squad have asked for time off for the house warming party.

Prof has lowered his sights to just one more striker required no doubt to be followed by a reminder from Ken of budgetary constraint when he drops us a line.
So one striker who is available out there and has the potential to be either Phil's new love or naughty corner lodger.

900K offered for 33 year old Nugent apparently rejected

Not long to go now before the door slams shut on the loan market. Then there will only be the free agents to pursue. You know, the jilted ones that have been left on the shelf to gather dust until an unwitting manager comes along and stumbles upon them.
