You might do ok on Saturday but on
Sunday when City are at the Emirates I’m expecting another 0-3

Think City will have too much firepower for us. Our dodgy defence against their attacking players is the stuff of nightmares

Op says Kos shouldn’t be captain cos he is injured then goes on to name a bigger crock in the form of Ramsey as his preferred choice of captain

I'd give the captaincy to Auba. He's the best player by a mile and given we have no leaders at all in the squad you might as well just give the captaincy to the best player.

That said I don't know much about Torreira's personality so am open to him if he's a strong leader on the pitch

I'll trust Emery's judgement thanks

What's the point of appointing as captain a player who is not guaranteed to play most matches? Apart from that, you need a player who is good at reading the game and communicating with the rest of the team, which qualities Koscielny lacks. Sadly, who else is there? The Invincibles had more than six players of captaincy quality. Years of deterioration under Wenger have brought us to this. From Adam/Vieira to this, very sad.

I’ve never thought of Ramsey, Kos or Özil as being captain material, they dont seem to have that leadership aura/charisma. Kos maybe leads by example and gets stuck in but the other two can go missing at times. As much as Xhaka has frustrated over the last 2 years, he does have that air of authority about him. So does Cech but he may not play much. Maybe the two new boys Lichsteiner and Sokratis will be pseudo-leaders

Xhaka as vice captain????? No fecking way. His nose picking incident was one of numerous times he didnt try when he should have. I want him dropped, not rewarded for his lack of effort. A captain should lead by example, put in the effort and lift the head of players when needed. None of these are traits I see in Xhaka.

Just give the players a chance under the new regime lads. Maybe Emery knows what he's doing?

Cech will play and be captain.

Disgraceful decision to give Kos the captain armband. Thought we got away from the malaky of selecting a captain that not fit or doest play when Wenger left.
