I really don’t have a problem with players signing for Rangers that have been with us before. Barry Ferguson did it, mind you he’s probably one of the better examples.
But they’d have to be better than what we have or what we could realistically hope to buy elsewhere.
Perhaps Gerrard has spent the bulk of his budget and we’re down to the last pennies. For 750k I’m not sure we could do much better to be honest.
I think he could still do a job and I’m sure Gerrard doesn’t suffer fools gladly. Still a bit of a head scratcher though considering Lafferty’s reputation.

If he signs, he signs but I agree. The lines of McGregor better than we have Lafferty a bit meh
It may well be budget driven and to be fair our punts have worked so far I just think it’s pushing it to sign a guy who was(imo) ordinary the first time

He definitely has quality but only ever showed it rarely. I remember him disappearing for large chunks then magically finding form for bigger games.
Too hot and cold for me really.
As I said though the thing that doesn’t quite add up is Gerrard/Allen have managed to find very good players that haven’t cost the earth. So why are we so set in gettin Lafferty? That just doesn’t add up for me.
Neither does Sadiq for that matter but there is a slight chance he’s not here just for comedy value. He’s another one that doesn’t quite add up going by comments from his old manager and from what I’ve seen, but he is a Roma player and Gerrard likes him so hopefully he has something.
