I haven't seen the footage yet but it all depends if the car is ticking over, in gear or hand break is off. All of these factors can be attribute to being in control of the car while on the phone by the word of the law.

Liverpool F.C. upholds the law and shows millionaire footballer that no one is above it.

They have shown that they will not stand for anyone abusing said law.

See, you can put a spin on anything to suit an agenda.

In which case why didn’t they sack Flanagan for bartering his bird in the street or sack bobby f for getting done for drink driving?

If the club is presented with evidence which could lead to a prosecution, then they've no alternative to pass it on to the police.

Imagine the outcry, the indignation, the climbing of the very high moral ground, replete with righteous concern if the club did anything otherwise. Jesus, we wouldn't hear the end of it, would we?

The bandwagon would be seriously overloaded to the point of collapse and destruction if the club had adopted a different stance.

As it stands, our club is beyond challenge. If - a big if - in my view Mo was on his mobile while in charge, there might be a case to answer, bearing in mind it's for the police to prove his guilt, not for him to prove his innocence.

While allegedly on his mobile, by the way, did he cause an accident? Did he cause damage to any other party? Did he injure anyone? kill them perhaps?

What do you mean, "no"?

This has got to be crime of the century, hasn't it? No one else in the UK has committed this offence before have they?

Have we still got the death penalty?

These sad people, jealous to the point of crying, desperate for anything, any crumb with which to denigrate a world class player.
